My guess would be the Pump itself is shot. It is located inside the tank. I have gone through 3 of these. Annoying part is that it may just be clogged. Debris in the tank, screen coming off can all cause this. Another possibility is the neck on top of the tank. can get corroded. could short out the wire harness.

If you have a rear a/c unit look behind the passenger side wheel well. There will be 4 a/c lines going up to the condenser on the floor board. In that area there is a 1/4 rubber nipple that will appear closed and flat. work it between your fingers to loosen gunk, then put a wire or screw driver in about 12" and it should free any clogs

I had the same problem with my 1999 Yukon. The electric board needed to be replaced. Rust starts to build up and shorts out or blows the bulb. The dealership charged $73.60 for the part and I installed it myself (Saved $30).

you can do it with the battery connected but the ignition key off...most of these relays are mounted together check with auto parts store or dealer servic3e for exact location of this relay..

You can use a test light in place of the fuse until you find the short to ground. That way you won't go thru a box of fuses. You'll have to eliminate the source by pulling bulbs and disconnecting wiring harnesses until the test light goes out.

I have a 1999 Yukon it died on my way to work I thought I was out of gas because my fuel gage stop working. I put gas in it and ever stared. Next day it stared up and died a block down the road. Did you check for spark, and the actual fuel pressure ?

Instead of spending money on parts, you should get a book and troubleshoot the circuit. It could be the pickup or the module in the distributor, or other electronic components.
