My 01 Cavalier is overheating. I changed the thermostat and do not see any apparent leaks. The heater was blowing hot air before I changed the thermostat and now it's only blowing cool air. Any
What engine 2.2 or 2.4 ?
Important: On vehicles equipped with the 2.4L engine, open the coolant air bleed valve. The coolant air bleed valve is located on the top of the thermostat bypass pipe/heater pipe assembly. Close the valve once a continuous stream of coolant is expelled from the valve.
Does the cooling fan come on ?
Notice: When adding coolant, it is important that you use GM Goodwrench DEX-COOL™ coolant. If coolant other than DEX-COOL™ is added to the system, the engine coolant will require change sooner: at 50 000 km (30,000 miles) or 24 months.
Close the radiator drain ****. Remove the drain hose.
If previously removed, install the engine block drain plugs.
When installing the drain plugs, use pipe sealer GM P/N 12346004.
Important: On vehicles equipped with the 2.4L engine, open the coolant air bleed valve. The coolant air bleed valve is located on the top of the thermostat bypass pipe/heater pipe assembly. Close the valve once a continuous stream of coolant is expelled from the valve.
Fill the surge tank to the base of the filler neck.
Start the engine with the pressure cap off. Let the engine run until the upper radiator hose starts to get hot.
If the coolant level in the surge tank is low, add the proper mix of coolant until the level reaches the full cold line.
Important: After servicing the cooling system, and if the vehicle is equipped with an intermittent low coolant light, an occasional low coolant light may be encountered during some extreme driving maneuvers. This complaint should be eliminated by removing the surge tank cap and adding coolant to a level just at or above the full cold line when the system is cold.
Install the cap onto the tank with hand tight pressure.
The left front turn signal is not working
Fast flashing occurs when one bulb in the circuit has failed. If the back turn signal bulb is flashing, then a front bulb has failed. Try replacing any remaining burned out bulbs (there may be more than one at the front and/or the back - if the right side is ok, check that side of the vehicle for locations reference). Be aware that the problem can also be one or more bad turn light bulb socket connections - in some cases, dielectric grease may have been added inside the sockets to inhibit corrosion. This is not usually a problem, but to be sure, make sure they are clean and free of corrosion.

you may have an issue with your BCM (body control module) when it fails, it takes everything with it and pretty much makes the car a heavy paperweight. your BCM is the brain for the vehicle like the ECM is for the engine compartment
Engine identification numbers
Engine identification numbers ????????? These are OBD 2 DTC'S - diagnostic trouble codes. The onboard computer see a problem with EVAP emission system , O2 sensor , DTC C1275 -The PCM diagnoses a condition preventing the engine control portion of the traction control function and sends a serial data message to the EBCM indicating that torque reduction is not allowed. The PCM will typically set a DTC and the EBCM will set this DTC.
You think a CV axle - your best bet ,take your vehicle to a qualified repair shop .

Traction Off
The IPC illuminates the traction off indicator when the following occurs:
• The electronic brake control module (EBCM) inhibits the traction control system. The IPC receives a class 2 message from the EBCM requesting illumination. The traction control system is disabled when the following occurs:
- For Chevrolet only, the shift lever is in FIRST (1) or SECOND (2) gear. The EBCM receives a class 2 message from the powertrain control module (PCM) indicating the gear position.
- For Pontiac and Oldsmobile only, the body control module (BCM) detects that the traction control switch is pressed (signal circuit is low). The EBCM receives a class 2 message from the BCM indicating the switch status.
- The BCM detects that the park brake is engaged (signal circuit is low) and that the engine is on. The EBCM receives a class 2 message from the BCM indicating the park brake status.
- The PCM detects certain malfunctions and is unable to perform torque reduction requests from the EBCM. The EBCM receives a class 2 message from the PCM indicating that traction control cannot be performed.
• The EBCM detects a malfunction in the traction control system. The IPC receives class 2 messages from the EBCM requesting illumination of both the service vehicle soon and traction off indicators.
• The IPC performs the displays test at the start of each ignition cycle. The indicator illuminates for approximately 3 seconds.
