I think that the starter

these cars use a side post battery and on the positive terminal there are two leads, one goes to the starter and the other powers everything else in your car, corrosion builds up between these contacts and you loose all cranking power,90% of the time its just a bad connection , it takes a 5/16 wrench or socket to remove the terminal, simply clean with hot water and put back together you should have cranking

I hadn't driven my 03

Hi and welcome to FixYa!
As a first course of action I strongly suggest that you disconnect the positive battery connector and let it sit for atleast 5mins. then reconnect it again. Start the car and observe how it goes, this should reset the system after the battery removal.

If the problem still persists I strongly suggest that you take the car in and have it scanned to know the fault code and the fix.

Hope this helps and thank you for using FixYa! Have a good one!

Digital display on climate control is very dim on

It's pretty easy to fix.
1. Remove "wood" trim from below module.
2. Remove 2 screws from tabs at sides of module
3. Remove module (may neeed to pry a little, it's tight.) and connector plug.
4. Remove 2 screws and seperate halves of module
5. Unplug harness to from circuit board (pull the plug, not the wires)
6. Pull the 2 plastic tabs at back of box to remove circuit board, which will now slide out.
7. Inspect the board. On mine, 4 tan components with a single lead coming out each end had cold (gray in color) solder joints. I simply resoldered the joints, reassembled and it's perfect.
8 ***NOTE After reinstalling, start the car and run for a full minute before touching any buttons...this somehow sychronizes the module.

Enjoy!

Car cuts off while driving,

Check your coolant level, these engines 3800 II has issues with leaking coolant into the engine smothering the spark plugs under hard stops and or acceleration. Only removing the Throttle body and looking inside and seeing "wet" will indicate and issue aside from loosing coolant.

If your coolant is ok look into getting new spark plug wires and plugs as well a new air filter if needed.

Also run fuel injector cleaner.

Are you getting any waring lights?

Auto Zone checks them for free.

I hope this helps.

Passenger side rear view mirror

If the OEM one is no good I would take a gander over on ebay and see if someone sells an aftermarket unit which you can buy and bolt on yourself. If not you can cheaply buy a used but as yet unfogged one, bolt it on and just wait for the fog to slowly return.

What is the flat rate time for replacing the

The flat rate guides do not provide labor times for replacing wiring harnesses. You are basically at the mercy of the technician who is responsible for the job. I searched Alldata, Mitchell and Mitchell's collision repair labor guides to find your answer, and none of them publish a labor guide for any wiring harnesses. Sorry.

What all regular maintance need to be done at

Change oil, replace spark plugs and fuel filter, air filter, check all brakes and lube caliper slides, check and flush cooling system, replace trans filter and gasket and perform a trans flush. This will replace all the trans fluid not just the fluid in the trans pan.Add fuel injector cleaner about every oil change. This will keep this vehicle going for another 100k.This is the best engine G.M. has had and will go over 300k.The biggest problem was the upper intake plenum gasket leaking coolant into the cylinders and oil system.Hope this has helped and good luck.
