Hi there,
TPM - it is possible to deactive this circuit, but not recommended.
Firstly, it's important you understand the importance of the TPM system.
This is the
Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) warning and is an easily misunderstood symbol. The light comes on when the inflation on one of the tires is down 25% or more. In most cases, that will be about eight pounds.
This is a common warning light in the fall and winter when outdoor temperatures are reduced, which has the effect reducing the pressure in your tires. A single leaking tire will trigger the light as well. Remember that the spare may be part of the system and its pressure should be checked.
The upshot here is this: If your are at high speed, reduce your speed.
If the tires do not seem to be visually low, it is likely it is safe to proceed to the nearest service station. The system will tell you when a tire is low, yes, but if one of them is leaking quickly, you can potentially lose control of your vehicle.
The TPM system is a function of your vehicle's BODY COMPUTER. If you must have this system disabled, you can either remove the TPM fuse (if it is an independent circuit) or, have your local Buick service agent deactive this function using their factory diagnostic tool.
STABILITY CONTROL - this system works in conjunction with your ABS and in most States, is an MOT requirement. For this reason, this system should not be deactivated.
If the Stability warning light is illuminating, then it is signalling a problem within the Brake/Stability system. Your local Buick dealership will be able to scan the vehicle computer for fault codes, to determine the cause of this condition.
Cheers,
