Some of the radios you have to pull out to found the fuse.They are on the positive wire at the back of the radios.

push the accelerator all the way down to the floor and keep it there as you start the car...keep the accelerator pushed all the way down until the car starts and then let off of it when it starts...do not pump the accelerator

see the fuese box cover for the location of the fuse some have location printed inside the cover some on the front side of the cover

for the wires to melt to each other then somewhee in the curcuit they must have been connected, that could have been a spanner sat on top of the battery or something has arked out maybe from the alterator or starter motor, both these parts are around the area of the water pump with the car on ramps
