Temperature gauge on Nissa Altima 2.4
Well it could be the gauge on the dash or the sending unit on the engine. But it could also be low on coolant or a problem with the thermostat. I would check the circuit for the gauge first if the radiator is full of coolant.
While I'm driving, the car locks and unlocks at random. what's the problem?
there is a possible 2x ratio solution, have the doorlocks checked for a open circuit, ( break in the wiring) or check the contact points on the doors, open all doors and with a scrw driver lock each door individually and check whick door lock causes the doors to unlock again, that doorlock will then be the root cause problem.solution 2 , the doorlock switch could be faulty

Oil pump is in the oil pan. Usually on the very bottom of the motor. Remove oil pan and you should have full access to oil pump.
01 Nissan Altima cuts off at red lights
Hi Nichelle, Take the vehicle for a diagnostic scan. If the engine sounds smooth and is running well, I do not believe you need an new engine. What is more likely is a defective fuel pump or fuel regulator. A very common fault on Nissans is the mass air flow sensor, which sounds as if it is the problem with your vehicle. Regards John
Trans axel
Most times you will find a bad CV joint on the axle making the noise. Especially if the rubber boot is split open.
Security alarm will not go off
If you have remote-keys for the car, try beeping the car different times. Try locking it and unlocking it. If not, try starting the car, and if that still doesn't work, try doing anything that will run the battery out
Car stalled and will not restart
It is possible to have fuel pressure and have injectors that are completely closed. There are light testers that plug into the injector harness to check the pulse to open an injector. Available at autoparts with Tool loaner program.Try starting fluid to see if it wants to run, If it does, then injectors are not opening, then find cause like camshaft sensor. At that point, like other Expert said, it could be Vacuum leak. Will not turn over can mean several things. Is it cranking? Is it engaging and not moving the engine? If the starter is not moving then you have to go through the interlocks with brake pedal and shifter. But these work after the engine runs and would not cause it to stall.Try the starting fluid and see if the spark is working, then shift to fuel delivery if it tries to start.
Where is the vacuum cut valve located,,, the code reads p1441 what to fix it or replace it my self.....
I just found the answer that
The vacuun cut bypass valves I deal with are in the evap emissions hoses near the charcoal canister valve is white in color and have no electrical connections just (4) 5/8" vacuum lines. Two of those hoses go to a solonid valve with a two wire electrical connection. Gasoline in the signal hoses from over filling the tank can cause the tank pressure sensor to send the wrong evap emission information to the Engine computer that in turn sets the P1441 code. Those hoses are on the filler neck to the gas tank pull them off one at a time and see if one has about 1 oz of fuel in the rubber hose (no smoking). Good luck for you!

Hi,If it IS GASOLINE GET IT FIXED ASAP...really! Dangerous to be driving it. If you confirm it's OIL than get it to a shop and up on their hoist/rack and find out where it's coming from.TD
How to change out a ignition switch on a 2001 altima
Hi Ceh, Remove the cowling from around the steering column by removing the screws recessed on the underside. You will need to use a cold chisel to remove the blind anti theft bolts which fasten the saddle clamp from the steering column. Once loose remove the screws holding the switch at the end of the barrel and remove the induction coil from the front (Where the key fits). Fit the new unit and re-assemble which is opposite to the work you have already carried out. When tightening the blind bolts tighten until the ends shear and break off. The new component will need to be re-programmed for the vehicle to start. Regards John
