Replace serpentine belt

super easy use a 1/2 inch drive breaker bar insert into tensioner pulley where there is a square hole, push until tension makes belt slack and be sure to remember how it comes off for easy install of new belt. Buy a good high quality belt too.

1998 crown victoria transmisson( over drive)

Well it may not be a big enough problem to need to replace the trans. It could be a solenoid or something electrical. You need to know what the trouble codes are in the computer, and you may need to have a transmission shop take a look. What you are saying is the trans will not shift into overdrive, hitting the button turns the overdrive off.

Battery light is on and dash lights are out

If your battery charging light comes on while you're driving, you should pull over as soon as it's safe. This light comes on when your alternator is not making electricity and the car is running off of battery power alone.---------------obd2express.co.ukGodiag M8 Wireless Auto Scanner

Car cuts off after driving it for a while

This sounds like a bad ignition control module that heats up and looses spark, start by removing the module and having it tested at an auto parts store, note; make sure they test it a few times to allow it to heat up , good day.9_2_2012_6_14_15_pm.jpg

98 crown vic charge light goes on and needle goes to full charge when excelerating?

Sounds like the voltage regulator has failed. Check voltage at the battery with the engine at idle and again with the engine at cruise speed. Voltage should be around 13 volts at idle and 14.5 volts at cruise speed.

Transmission will not go into park

Dear Louis,I would seem to me that the linkage which goes into the transmission from the shift lever on the steering wheel or on the side of the transmission itself, is not engaging. I doubt is is the transmission, but I am not an expert. You will probably have to take the vehicle to a garage, sot a service station. Hope this helps. Ken from N.H.
