You're not gonna liek this one. The Fuel pump relay on a mustang of that year is part of a multi-function relay called the CCRM (constant control relay module) and is located beneath the passenger side fender liner, meaning you'll have to take the fender off to get to it. Horrible placement, if you ask me..

check timing

check the timing and also if the idle jet is opperating correctly. cold start mec could also be faulty. you can program it out

You can pull the motor mounts bolts and jack the motor up alittle, that will give you enough clearance to drop your oil pan. If you try and replace the timing chain cover without dropping the oil pan, you will more than likely wind up with an oil leak.

You should be able to replace the timing cover without removing the oil pan. The gasket set should contain gaskets allowing you to cut the oil pan gasket and put in a new partial gasket in this area. In the corners make sure you use some RTV sealant. If you are careful, it can be done. Like Bob A says you can end up with a oil leak without dropping the pan (unless you clean up the area and properly apply the RTV and gasket). If you have time to drop the oil pan, then I would do that.

First I'd confirm proper fuel pressure, then I'd look in to possible plugged catalytic converter. Any other symptoms such as sluggish up hill, worse when warmed up, poor fuel mileage?

I assume the fuse has power if the hazards work.The third brake light skips the turn signal switch, the regular brake light circuit goes thru the turn signal switch.Do you have power going into the turn signal switch on the red lite green wire from the brake switch ?

Turn signals are on fuse number one and brake lights are on fuse number 9. Both are in the fuse box under the dash or on the side of the dash. Both are 15amp.

Could be water in one of the wiring connectors.You would need to check the fan relays to see if they have power and a ground signal from the computer when they are needed.
