91 ord skipping on ever outher sinler

apparently the EGR valve gets carbon in ti and causes all kinds of stumbling, bucking multiple cylinder misfiring. The fix is simple remove EGR valve and install 3/4" fender washer with an 1/8" hole in it from a local hardware store about 15 cents with an EGR gasket on both sides and then reinstall EGR valve and it will still function normally and cure the stumble

How do I get truck started after its been sitting for months

Charge up the battery with a battery charger or jump start the truck with a good battery. Connect the jumper leads from the good battery to the battery on the truck. Connect the red lead from the + terminal on the good battery to the + (plus) terminal on the truck. Connect the black lead from the - terminal on the good battery to the - (minus) terminal on the truck. The good battery will supply power to the starter motor. Then you can turn the key to start the truck.

Why will the truck not keep running after start unless hold key

Possible cause is the key switch behind the key assembly is not set correctly. When you release the key after engine starts, the key bounces back to ON position but the key switch moves to a position where it did not connect the ignition supply lines.

Why no power to the truck ?

Power to what? The lighting, stereo or to the ignition switch or from the ignition switch to the starter solenoid? Start with the battery and make sure it is good. Pull a load test. The battery may test good with a multi meter but have no cranking power. From the battery you will have to trace the system back until you find where the loss of power is at.
