Rear enterlock break light on what does this mean
It means there is something wrong with the anti lock braking system to the rear axle. Chances are you have a loose connection at a sensor or one of the sensors has come loose and is not close enough to the sensor to pickup the pulses. Check your sensors and push them in and look for a bad wire or connection.

I have a 91 ford explorer 4x4. I have a loud
Without hearing it i honestly couldnt say they could all be right and everything is worn out ,have you checked the brake pads for wear in case that is causing the noise like a worn brake disk (rotor) and as the pad wears down the metal on the pad backing is rubbing on the edge of the worn brake disk ?? take the wheel off and have a good look yourself

Yes your on the right track..If ya have a lot of corrosion put baking/water mixture,,work real well to clean corrsion

My explorer won't start, It
if the batter has a drain the starter may be at fault the starter can drain a battery with out running i would unhook the battery cables then charge the battery then i would have the starter tested.

Where is the started location
The starter is located under the truck at the driver side rear of the engine at the transmission bell housing. (Most engines)

Best bet is to get it scanned and find out what turned the cel on. Sounds like your trans is trying to go two different directions at once. Could be electrical, as these transmissions are computor controlled using numerous shift solenoids.

The 4WD should be engaged with a switch on the dash. Generally people drive in D or the D with the circle around it for overdrive, which just means it has an extra gear for highway driving or such.
