Shifter plymouth
Look on the backside of the transmission where the cables attach. If both of them are still connected than they have dislodged at the shifter under the center council. You can have a helper move the shifter while looking at the transmission to see if they move. I’m happy to assist further over the phone at

2001 plymouth neon sputtering
If you have an automatic transmission, you may be experiencing torque converter clutch (TCC) lockup shudder. There is a solenoid in auto transmissions that engages a clutch in the torque converter to save gas on the highway. These frequently stick open and cause problems at stoplights. IF you have an auto, a pretty good way to check if this is the problem is to put the car in neutral at a stoplight (CAREFULLY) and see if the problem goes away. Also, the clutch should not engage until the vehicle is warmed up, so if your problem happens when your car is cold, this is probably not the issue. Sometimes, these solutions can be inexpensive. I fixed my own TCC solenoid on my 1993 Chevy for about $20. Other times it can get spendy.
Scanner reads code P0601
p0601 refers to pcv valve elbow but us 5/16th pcv hose and replace the part that connects to were it comes of line toward block also plus pcv assmbely too and you should not have that annoying yellow light stearing at you
Odometer blinks intermittently with the word "fuse"
check the power distribution center under the hood for the IOD fuse.it will be 2 fuses in a yellow or white plastic housing and make sure its completely seated. mos tchryslers have a IOD fuse for shipping purposes. it is used to prevent battery drain. if its not in place correctly it will show fuse or no fuse in the drivers info center on the dash
How can I reset the 1684 code on my 2001 neon?
A loose gas cap will throw a P0456 trouble code so will the gas filler neck. You can take the ground cable off of the battery for 3 minutes to reset the computer but,if that does'nt work you will need a scan tool or a code reader.
No brakes, i have control of e-brake but my brakes wont work.
Not sure what you mean by pin....But if the brake fluid keeps leaking out it is one of you brake lines or even your caliper. Take the wheel off and find out if it is the caliper itself or not, because it will cease up and cost you more money to replace it also.
