VIN ? (USA car?) what is the problem ("still does the same thing", does WHAT? (wrong or good or both) did you add wireless remote starter on this car, did it fail before or after the ADD. THE real KEY SWITCH FAILS TO CRANK THE ENGINE. IS THE STARTER MOTORS DEAD AND SILENT? FIRE to Solenoids?, gets 12vdc power not fire, a voltmeter measures all this if you use one., there is no FIRE there ,it's voltage (power) surely no 98 car came with factory remote start, (SM says NO) so there is a story to tell but not told nor full symptoms told , using a normal key or this wireless secret device./< none told. worse yet cars with IMMO, the manual tell us flat out, not compatible with remote starts (none-OEM)\ there are no 2 aftermarket (non-OEM) remote start kits the same. for sure safeties.. IMMO rules VW VW is 1999 or earlier and sold in North America, it shouldn't have an immobilizer. but If your car has the yellow car/key symbol on the instrument cluster (shown activated below) it has an immobilizer. as you can see a 1998 car is just blow,1999 start year some cars made after July 1st,1998 have 1999 opitions. so nobody guess what is there in your car , factory options Most IMMO cars do not allow lacks the car starting and running systems. Did you use a pressure bleeder and bleed air from the caliper up to the master cylinder? It has ABS so you can't do it the traditional way.

is it a 4 cylinder or 6. on a 4 cylinder its 1 3 4 2 number 1 is in front close to the radiator they are 1 2 3 4 so with the order run it down did this help any?

Hi, You can call a mobile mechanic to fix the locking problems at your home. Or you can take the car into your local Volkswagen dealer since the central locking has issues as well. Thank you.

For oddities as weird as that, you need a good auto electrician with his pro grade $5,000 scan tool computer. With all that, you have a BCM Communication issue.

If this is the multi colour lighting system for inside the vehicle you will need to 'Hard Wire' it into your vehicle electrics. The Safest way to do this is to pay an expert to do it. Modern cars have a scary amount of wiring and sensors fitted so if you connect it to the wrong wire you can cause very serious issues. By serious I mean Expensive.
