Of you seen any brake fluid when changing pads the the leak needs to be addressed and brakes need to be bled out of any possible air in system. If this was a problem before then you have a bad master cylinder or brake booster.

Typically the airbag module is located at the centre of the car, either behind the dash or just in front of the gear lever, beneath shrouding.

When this occurred to me on a Beetle as well as on an A4, in both cases it was caused by a slightly low hydraulic fluid level. It is not a normal maintenance item, and therefore no official 'check and fill up' recommendation in the manual. After locating the tank (rear right side, trunk on A4, forgot if same on Beetle) and taking the cap off, filled up with mineral hydraulic fluid (same as the special fluid used for VW/Audi power steering).

There could be a couple of problems. The thermostat could have failed preventing coolant flow and at the same time the rad fan relay may have burned out, or fuse, or wiring to the fan may have corrosion or the fan motors have failed...or all of the above. In addition the coolant pump(water pump) may have failed as well. The coolant temp sensor is still working so that is a good thing. You're gonna have to do some hunting and testing but is should be any deeper than that. Good luck!

If the right side lights work it means the flasher unit is ok , check for a blown fuse or faulty flasher indicator switch.

not sure here as these models change a lot also where they were assembled can throw up different builds ,now on the battery is a fuse board and I would look here first as inside the box attached to the battery terminal are solid metal type fuses so either one of these has corroded out or you have damaged a wire changing gearbox which I presume would be a automatic ,if so is it park has linkage been adjusted correctly ?When i get problems like this i will ask a second opinion as no mechanic knows everything least of all me .thats after doing the job for 50 yrs ,you still learn something new every day

its in the header tank providing my memory serves me correctly ,could be underneath in the header tank out of sight .You do mean the level sensor and not something else as the temperature sensor is in the head on some earlier models .
