Yes it's fine to drive with the service light on BUT it will need a service other wise you could end up with costly repairs due to engine bein neglected

try turning the idle screw counterclockwise. #5 in the pic below.

Could be the ignition switch. They often go bad. It's mounted in the lock cylinder housing mounted to the column.

Can you swap switches? Will they interchange, if so buy a new switch for your original app.

door locks are held in by a spring clip in the shape of a flat "C". You will need to remove the door trim to get to it. The clip most likely be in the bottom of the door.

REmove the wire from the sender unit and earth on the engine next to it. If the light dosen't come then it is probably blown or you have a fuse problem in that circuit

First thing you need to do is figure out if it is a fuel or ignition problem.You say you let it sit, does it have spark when it dies ?

Try another shop. There are kits to correct "camber". It is possible that the suspension or frame is bent. This would require a much more involved repair. A frame shop may be able to serve you better. It would help to know which numbers are out of whack.

That is very interesting.If you have spark to the distributor means that the coil and a CP sensor are OK.Than you have to check ignition leeds and a spar plugs.Did you put correct rotor and a distributor cup?Check compression of the cilynders

At that point, I think the best thing to do would be having the carburetor taken off, take it apart, put it in some gunk remover (Carburetor Cleaner sold in 1 gallon barrels), then wirebrush it all out, make sure all the jets are clean, buy a carburetor repair kit, and put it all back together with new seals. At how old your car is, it would probably be best for it. On the cheap side, all that needs to be done is having the carburetor's throttle accelerator pump fixed (Squirter). A shop should be able to do all this, but it's not hard, either.

Um... that sounds like you got the lil buggy in third gear. You have to be aware that first gear is allllllll the way to the left--it's spring-loaded. PUSH left, then up. You should have your shift pattern well memorized before you take it out onto the road.

So you have no spark from the coil or you have spark from the coil but not at the plugs. You said it turns over really fast? Have you checked the timing belt?

The problem is in the distributor. Either the pickup or ignition module.
