Random alarm issues
Sometimes a shorting battery will activate the car alarm. Another issue can be created by a bad FOB or keychip which loses its identity.
Passenger window doesn't go up, it only goes down.
Unfortunately, this is a hit or miss problem with your generation of Taurus window motors. I am assuming it is Power windows. If it is not Power windows it could have come of track and/or hit a snag. To get a better look you will need to remove the door panel by the screws in the door handle,etc.. and clips around the frame of the door panel. Once removed, there will be a a few places to see what is actually happening when you try to roll the window up.. If it is power windows the true work is rolling UP the window,as gravity is what rolls it down. If you SEE the motor spinning but the window is stationary, you have a snag. If it isnt spinning you can get a new motor from a dealer or even a junkyard. If it is Manual windows.. You SHOULD HOPEFULLY see where and how the window is catching and not rolling up.. hope this helps and good luck!
Gas tank will not take fuel fast, pump just keeps clicking off
i would suspect the check engine light is also on and has been on for a while?
I would bet the vent solenoid has gone bad. if you look under the car under the spot where the spare tire fits you will see a plastic box. the vent solenoid is on this box (called a charcoal canister), you can remove the vent solenoid and see if it fills up properly. if it does replace the solenoid and you should be fine. Where is pcv valve located on 2005 taurus?
From the front of the car and starting at the throttle body, locate a large rubber hose coming out of the bottom of the throttle body, this hose comes straight down, then bends towards the front of the car. A plastic pipe connects to this rubber hose and the plastic pipe continues forward, then bends to the passenger side and dives under the wiring harness a few inches and connects to a 2" long rubber hose which is then connected to the PCV. The PCV is made by motorcraft; part # ev-243 or ev-268. Ev268 has a metal hose wraped around it; This is used for coolent on other models (not yours). Bend it slightly and pull it off. The valve has square sides. Use long nose pliers to reach under the wiring harness and turn 1/4 turn counterclockwise to remove and opposite to install.
I think Ford floated the PCV in space and then built the entire car around it. This is, perhaps, the worst PCV location I have encountered.

Will a 2002 mercury sable windshield fit in a 2004 ford taurus
Hello,
No - the part numbers do not cross reference. Though both cars share many of the same parts, the differ many times on body parts. If you are able to install the glass yourself, there are many websites and even brick and mortar supply houses that can get you a windshield fairly economically. If you are thinking of pulling a windshield from a car for free - when it comes to Taurus vs Sable - they are quite different.

My 2004 Taurus losses rpm right after startup and shuts off, what can be the problem?
it could be an idle air control valve. Hold the throttle slightly open and see if that works.
Low fuel pressure would also cause this problem. Do you have access to a fuel pressure gauge? Fuel pumps are common, and restricted fuel filters could cause it too
A restricted catalytic converter would do it to. You can pull the upstream O2 sensor and crank it. If it runs then it means that the cat is clogged.
