2004 ford taurus wont start after being driven a short distance, running fine before i turned it off

If Th engine doesn't crank have the battery and battery cables checked for condition and corrosion. If the engine cranks and dos not start then have the systems control computer scanned for fault codes and have the fuel pressure checked.

Starts but cut off after 3 or 4 min. started again, press gas and parked in my driveway 5 min away.

fuel pump or fuel filter needs replaced. sounds like fuel filter needs replaced first. then I would have a pressure check run on fuel pump to see if its working as advertised.

How to install replacement window on passenger side

you take off the door panel by using a panel clip tool to pop the clips for the panel to come off also check for any screws holding the panel to the door by the inside door handle the bottoms of the panel once you get it off unplug the window door switches to move the panel out of the way but first lower the window track so you can see it remove the weather seal plastic and then when you can get to the track and the glass you'll see that there should be yellow circle clips that pop together to hold the glass with rivets I'm assuming the glass is broken and this might have come off and is in the bottom of the door use these for the new glass after drilling out the old rivets snap them together one on each side of the new glass and then put bolts and nuts on to tighten or use a rivet gun to the track reconnect the switches for door window power and raise the glass

If the starter is spinning but it is not engaging the ring gear, you have a bad solenoid. This is to push the gear forward to turn over the engine. If the solenoid built into the starter or a separate part? Anyway...it isn't connecting. Semper Fi, Z

If it was a anti-theft system problem ,you wouldn't get any clicking ,nothing ! The clicking you hear could be the starter relay . Problem could also be main battery cable going to the starter .. Code P1405

I have copied the entire description for the code.Let me know if you need more info. You may need a shop to take a look at the system.P1405 Ford Description The purpose of the Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) system on your engine is to limit oxides of nitrogen (NOx) emissions. This is done by redirecting small amounts of exhaust gas back through the upper intake to get mixed in with the air/fuel charge. The resultant diluted air/fuel mixture (i.e., less oxygen per cubic foot) burns cooler and combustion chamber temperatures are reduced accordingly, thereby lowering NOx emissions. The Ford DPFE/EGR system is controlled by the Powertrain Control Module (PCM). The system employs an EGR Valve, an Electronic Vacuum Regulator (EVR), and a Delta Pressure Feedback EGR sensor (DPFE). The DPFE Sensor measures EGR flow across an orifice located inside the special EGR Tube. The orifice is positioned between two hose ports coming off the tube which are connected to the DPFE sensor with special heat-resistant hoses. When the EGR Valve is open, a pressure differential is created across the orifice (intake manifold pressure vs. exhaust pressure). By design, this difference in pressure is measured by the DPFE sensor in terms of voltage. The DPFE voltage signal output to the PCM is directly proportional to the flow of exhaust gas entering the intake manifold. Read more: http://engine-codes.com/p1405_ford.html#ixzz2dUIwIiDd
