Sounds like a faulty TPS sensor, also could be the ECM playing games with you,,,try disconnecting the battery for about 20 mins,,then reconnect,,it may clear it up.
1994 F350 transmission intermittent problem
I had the same problem in my 96 f-350. The transmission has slipped recording a slip code in the transmission. You can pull the codes and get it. I shifts into a safe mode that increases the pressure inside your transmission as part od a fail safe. Plain and simple, you have to have the tranny rebuilt.
I need a fuse panel
You can go to your library they have a whole selection of automotive manuals some are for check out others are for reference only, but you can copy the pages, if your library does not have it on the shelf they can check to see where it is and have it sent to your library and notify you when it is in. hope this helps.

I have a 1991 Ford
Hello there,
Ok well I'm going to start off by saying sorry for your problem but there is help. In the engine compartment there is a fuseable link in the wire harness on the drivers side engine compartment over the fender well. The other place to look is the left of the dash at the switch. These switches have a gray plug and they have so much resistance they melt and the switch is so hot it fails. Take a small screw driver or pick and depress the tang on the back of the headlamp pull switch knob. Remove the cover by gently pulling forward. Remove the screws to the mounting bracket and extract the switch. inspect the plug and check the output on the orange or orange and white wire. Also if the truck was upfitted with a service body many of the body installers installed an external powerd relay box under the chassis due to the common problem of too much draw on the electrical system. You may have a blown fuse if the chassis is upfitted with this box. Or even a defective relay. Good Luck on your repair and let me know if I can help any further.

replace battery and check post. Your popping sound could have been a fuseable link. check the one thats leading to the starter.
