Why is it difficult to start?

I would start by checking your body, and engine ground. An easy way to check is to connect a jumper cable from the negative side of the battery to the body, and/or the engine.

1969 with 351 Windsor stock engine. Once it reaches 1,500 rpms why do the tach & engine jump up and down?

If this is a points type ignition, check for excess play side to side in the distributor shaft, and also for timing chain slack--easily tested by removing dist. cap and rotating engine back and forth with wrench on crank pulley bolt. If rotor doesn't move immediately as crank turns you have loose timing chain.

My 1999 mustang starts runs for 5 min then dies

run the fault codes could be an electronic component over heating and failing (coil/s ignition module pump relay) could be a cannister venting problem ( vacuum in the fuel tank) could be an oxygen sensor throwing the ECM out

What do the wire in the middle goes to any help because my car keeps shutting of after 30 min of driving -97 mustang gt

You have to realize, that is your alternator. Your alternator only charges the battery. If your battery is going dead, then I would think the alternator might be the problem. But if it is charging, then it is doing its job. You need to find out what you are loosing when the engine dies. I would start with putting a fuel pressure gauge on the fuel rail so you can monitor the pressure when the engine is running and make sure you have over 40lbs of pressure and let the engine run until it dies. Make sure you have good pressure up to and a bit after it dies. If you have good pressure then go to the ignition system and make sure you have good spark and see if that is what you loose when it dies. Same thing with the injectors, you will need what is called a noid light to see the injector pulses.

I have a heavily modified mustang with a a1000 pump I was wondering I wanted to put some fuel injector cleaner in there but I heard good reviews and bad reviews and don't want to mess up my engine

You have a high dollar engine and fuel system. Pull the injectors and have them cleaned. I clean my own injectors. I don't use the stuff the sell at parts stores. Change the fuel filter also. when you do this.

99 mustang won't start it only do 1 click. If it

Battery good, cables good, all connections clean and tight, no corrosion on battery terminals? Try to determine if click is from solenoid on the starter or starter relay. Turn the headlights on and watch them while someone turns the key to start. If they get dim, probably the starter-have it tested-even new ones are sometimes bad. If lights don't dim, you will need to check the start circuit. Check for power on the small wire to starter solenoid when key is held in start. If no power there, work back towards the ignition switch. Check the neutral safety switch-should have power in and power out when key held in crank. The ignition switch will have a start wire out of the switch going to the neutral safety switch. It should have power with key in start, the only time the start wire will have power.Post back with what you find-good luck.

How do I fix the engine in my 40th anniversary Mustang high-performance V-8 engine drove about 2 feet shut down both turnover possible problem

if the engine was running for a time before you selected a gear, you would have heard a serious noise before it stopped if anything went wrong ( top or bottom) try removing the starter motor as it is possible that the pinion stayed engaged in the ring gear and the starter motor is jammed ( burnt out in the armature and bushes) it it turns backwards on the bar it could be the starter or a problem in the gear box or torque converter

I bought a 99 ford mustang without a radio installed yet there is an aftermarket radio in the back seat, the wipers are not working and i have checked the fuses they appear fine, i also pulled plug so

Defective switch or wiring between switch and motor. The 1 wire that does have voltage is for the park function. I would pull the switch and test for voltages going into the switch, with ignition switch on, then turn the wiper switch on and see if you have any voltages coming out.
