Fill up diesel and after i hr it wont start
check your fuel pump.small drain plug on the bottom of it.open the plug .drain water that may be in it.refit the plug.pump it up to you feel it is hard .get someone to turn your ignition key .will you keep pumping to start it.

if you have the 6.0 then the filters are located on top on the motor right beside your oil filter and under the drivers side on the fuel pump, check to see if you have diesel in your bowl where the fuel filter is, no diesel in there your fuel pump might be dead, check fuses to fuel pump and check relay on the passengers side kicker panel, check your owners manual

Since the effect is immediate, the problem is electrical. Check the battery contacts and even the wire going from the battery to the block. Check the ignition switch while it's running normally. Jiggle it and see if it changes the operating characteristics. Check the fuse panel and clean the fuses and contacts.

If you have the 6.0 ltr diesel, then check the bowl where the 2nd fuel filter is, see if there is fuel in the bowl, if not then either your fuel pump which is on the frame under the driver's side in the water seperator/ heater has gone bad, or your filters could be bad, or the fuse to the fuel pump or the pump shut off switch which is located on the side panel at your feet on the passengers side, there is a reset button, make sure it has not popped and press it down, hopefully this helps, I had the same prob.

well the question is where did the coolant go. if it didnt leak out it must have went out the pipe. As you stated, white smoke, white smoke is coolant. You definately need to get this to the shop. You cannot drive it this way or further damage will occur.
