2003 Ford Focus - Page 6 Questions & Answers
My 2002 Ford Focus brake lights stay on in drive,
If you brake lights stay on and the cruise control doesn't work then I would be looking at the brake light switch at the top of the brake pedal as if there is power passing through it then it cuts out the cruise control. The same as if you put your foot on the brake cuts out the cruise control. The hatch button will be another problem like a fuse or broken cable or failed latch solenoid. As to the rear middle brake light try checking the bulb first.
2003 Ford ka what colour is the wire for the alternator warning light on dash cluster
There isn't one ! This vehicle relies on serial data communication . The PCM sends an message on the data bus to the microprocessor inside the instrument cluster . The PCM controls the operation of the charging system warning indicator in the instrument cluster. The PCM is therefore responsible for turning the warning indicator off after the engine is started and illuminating it under fault conditions (when the generator is not generating the correct amount of current with the engine running). The warning indicator will also be illuminated by the PCM at key ON engine OFF, and stall conditions.
Charging System Warning Indicator
The instrument cluster receives the charging system status from the PCM over the SCP or CAN communication network. The PCM controls the charging system and the charging system warning indicator. The PCM is therefore responsible for turning the lamp off once the system is running and illuminating it under fault conditions (including stall conditions).
How to Diagnose Controller Area Network CAN Your best bet would be to take your vehicle to a qualified repair shop .
Location of heater relay on 2003 ford focus.
There is no relay, according to my info. At the blower motor, green wire is voltage, fuse protected, goes hot with key on. Black wire is ground. The blower speed control switch is part of ground circuit. There are resistors for the lower speeds. Hi speed doesn't use a resistor. If you have good voltage and ground at blower motor and no blower action, suspect the blower motor. Any motor that uses brushes, sometimes you can tap on suspect motor, and it will run intermittently. Sign of bad brushes.
You may be able to use jumper wires to blower motor connector for voltage and ground, from the battery, just to see if blower motor will run? If it won't run, suspect blower motor. If you use jumpers, use an inline fuse, just in case.
