My 2003 Ford focus blew a head gasket a while back. I got fixed that, changed out the water pump, thermostate, water resevoir, and a few hoses. It started to overheat again, but the thermostate wasn&#

If you got a blown head gasket, water is getting mixed with your oil, pretty much ruining it, and your oil's viscosity will be affected, causing oil pressure to drop and your light turns on.

How do you know your car is overheating if it's not showing in your gauge?

When replacing blown gaskets there are a few things that is best to do, like sandblasting the heads, clean, scrape block and use proper torque an sequence, only removing old gasket and placing new ones won't fix the issue, those gaskets go through extreme conditions, expansion, temp changes, etc, they need to be put mindfully. I mention this because it seems you changed a lot and ended up with the original issue...

If your gasket is blown you need to fix that asap, then identify where is your coolant leak/blockage that causes alleged overheating, doing a coolant flush might help. Good luck.

My 2003 ford focus ZTS dohc 16v leaks water (not coolant)

There are only 2 ways water can appear that I know of. (1) Naturally occurring from combustion while you warm up the engine. It lays in the exhaust until it evaporates with heat or makes its way out little bleed holes in the mufflers. (2) Air conditioner condensation off the evaporator which is SUPPOSED to drop thru a drain hose to the street. The hose can get plugged and it could leak out higher up maybe. Your air conditioner works even in cooler temps to dehumidify the windshield(in DEFROST or MIX modes). This resulting water is supposed to drain thru that hose off your heater plenum. don-ohio

03 ford focus Starts and run for short period at a time then dies but restarts and again for short time.

If that does not fix it, then it is not the fuel filter but at least a fuel filter is changed and then you get to change out the fuel pump. That sucks.

Ijust had parts replaced because my 2003 ford focus ideled way to high and drove way to fast now my transmission jerks me when driving does that have anything to do with it

Transmission can suddenly 'grab' when it/you changes gear. An automatic transmission can be sluggish to change gear if the fluid is dirty and needs changing. A worn/slipping clutch on a manual transmission causes the engine to rev high before the car picks up speed. From your description it sounds as though there's a misfire or rough running with the engine which causes the jerking, not the transmission unit. There's many things that can cause the symptoms you describe - the MAF sensor .. fuel starvation .. O2 sensor .. Get a good mobile mechanic to look at your car - or take it to a workshop. I don't think it's your transmission at fault.

Engine has rough engine at 1250 revs, tickover is fine and over that is ok too, sometimes cuts out at junctions

Start with cleaning the throttle body, idle air control motor, and MAF sensor. After that, tune up.
