The engine system most affected by moisture is the high tension electrical system, so it is unlikely to be the starter or similar shorting out, but something like moisture getting into the distributor or coil. You might want to liberally spray any of the popular Water Dispersant (WDxx or similar) products on all your high tension components and leads. You can of course, spray the lower voltage components too, just for kicks. These Water Dispersant sprays are very inert so they are unlikely to cause harm, but will help keep moisture away and minimise the chance of shorts.

Car loses power while driving and jerks.
if you don't have a gas cap on the car or if it is on too loosely then that is a possibility. Only other thing I could think of would be water in your fuel. You may try a bottle of "heat" (I think that is how you spell it) at your local auto parts store and chunk it in the gas can. if there were any problems with water that should be the cure.

Start out by diagnosing it it is the CD Player. Pull the fuse for the radio/cd and drive it for a few days (or whatever it usually takes to drain the battery) and if the battery doesn't drain, you know that's the problem. Call a dealership and ask if the problem has showed up as a recall item yet. I'm still getting free repairs on my daughter's 2001 BMW due to recall items.
