What is going on when your windshield wiper does

OK, if there is no fluid coming out of the nozzle when you hit the button for it, then it's because the pump motor is burnt out, or the wiring to it is discontinuous.

Look for the pump motor in or around the reservoir for the windshield wiper fluid, where you add i; below it.

2001 ford windstar clicks when you try to start it, and will not run.

This procedure usually works:
  • Check the battery cable connections:
Make sure the positive cable, makes a good connection at the battery and at the starter. Make sure the negative cable makes a good ground connection at the battery and (preferably) at the engine.
  • Check the battery the simple way, like this:
Turn on the headlights, then try to start the car.If the headlights do not dim or go out, then the battery is likely ok.
  • Check the starter and solenoid:
If the wiring looks ok, then look at the starter solenoid for a good connection, and proper voltage at the starter(10 volts minimum while cranking). If the starter spins and no crank, the problem is most likely the Solenoid's bendix gear is stuck. Have someone hit (not too hard) the starter while you try to start the car. This usually works by dislodging a stuck bendix gear.
  • Make a simple test of the alternator:
If you can, somehow get the engine running, measure the voltage at the battery. It should be at least 13.6 volts to properly charge the battery.

I have a 2001 ford windstar limited edition and I was told it needed a Evap vent siloniod however I'm wondering where it was located and I checked the autozone and advanced auto parts and can't locate

under the vehicle you should see a metal cover attached to the frame in the rear close to the gas tank remove that cover and you will find the vapor canister shown below and the vent solenoid that attaches to it by hoses wear safety glasses when trying to remove the cover so you don't get rust in your eye's and dirt from the chassis and use liquid wrench or w d 40 and you might need vise grips if the bolts are really rusted out and some new nuts & bolts have fun Amanda and be very careful p0ark the van out of harms way before you climb under it there's to many crazies out there I had some one back into my car while on jack stands when there was at least 15 parking spaces on the block and most of the street on the other side of me was empty I just made it out before the car hit the ground so I mean what I say be very careful where you do this or latch on to a dude or what ever floats your boat and let them do it good luck and be careful 2001-ford-windstar-limited-edition-told-3lxubgnztek3iumesbe11ufb-3-0.jpg 2001-ford-windstar-limited-edition-told-3lxubgnztek3iumesbe11ufb-3-2.jpg

Were is the power sterring pump located on a 2001 f0rd winstar

I'm not sure of engine litre size? Note the picture. The power steering reservoir is number 10. There has to be a hose from the reservoir to the pump and the pump is belt driven. The pump should be under the hood, passenger side, a little lower than the level of reservoir, firewall side of engine. 25535415-dzz3zhjfacajtkkift3qg1wv-4-0.jpg

System too lean Bank 1

This is fuel system problem, Either fuel pressure, or some bad injectors, or wire connections to them, or Fuel pressure regulator, or fuel pump relay, or fuel pump, or fuel filter. There may be Error codes that need to be read by a autoparts store, if they will.

2001 ford windstar shuts off while driving but starts back up only shuts off when accelerating

Any codes? Shuts off or bogs down, like not enough fuel? Wild guess bad Throttle position sensor or connections to it and or to the ECU. Corroded connections seem to play tricks on it. If you are sure the sensor is tight and in the right adjustment, check the connector. Make sure there is bright metal by scraping spade.

Why wont my 2001 ford windstar blow out of vents ? only on defrost?

Air Flow Control Air flow control is accomplished in the following manner:
  • Primary control is through the function selector knob , mounted on the heater function selector switch, which is part of the heater control .
  • The function selector knob has the following positions: OFF, PANEL, PANEL/FLOOR, FLOOR, FLOOR/DEFROST and DEFROST.
  • The heater function selector switch combines a vacuum selector valve with an internal electrical switch.
  • The vacuum selector valve directs source vacuum to various vacuum control motors (18A318) . Refer to the System Airflow Schematic and Vacuum Control Charts.
  • An internal single-pole electrical switch is also controlled by the selector. The switch controls the electrical supply to the heater blower motor switch (18578) .
  • The position of the function selector knob determines the manner in which the system will operate.
  • Each position of the function selector knob is detented for positive engagement.
  • You probably have a vacuum leak , Pull heater control panel an check for vacuum . A broke vacuum hose or The vacuum selector valve is bad ! Or check for a vacuum hose in the engine compartment being off somewhere !

Why isn't my right sliding door not opening or closing

If sliding door is electric, that's where I would start, check the electrical circuits for voltage and ground. If that checks out, the issue may be mechanical? Your owners manual should give you some operational info for the sliding door.
