Check your battery terminals make sure they are clean and corrosion free.
Also check all ...A-L-L courtesy lights in your car. there are some ceiling mounted lights that are passenger operated and may be on... Also check your glove compartment and consoles for lights.
Also check for charger cords... These have indicator lights and sometimes can drain the batt as well.
Also, under the hood, is a gravity activated lamp . Open the hood and make sure that it's going off and staying off as the hood closes...

Be sure the kick down cable is still hooked up on throttle body. IF THIS CABLE IS OFF OR FROZE UP IT WILL NOT SHIFT.

Well,they sell the hose new,right? I would probably just cut off the quick-connect and splice good heater hose with screw-type clamps over the metal end. don-ohio (:^)

How does the vehicle shift gears ? The VSS is a input to the engine computer , speed data is sent to instrument cluster by serial data communication network , The gauge is probably bad , but you should have it check before replacing parts .

When the alarm is on have the codes read by a scanner. Post the codes for additional answers. In some cases it could be a code indication relay replacement. Most friendly auto parts suppliers will read the codes and may recommend the part or sensor most likely the culprit. Might want to perform a compression test on all cylinders first. It could be a cracked engine block or engine head.

Could need to grease slide pin and other parts. Also could be bad caliper/piston.
