Drive for ten minen at stop ten mine go a gine

I used to have an 89 F 150 with the 4.9 inline 6 back in the day. I remember encountering this problem and it turned out to be an ignition relay that was getting hot after a certain amount of time. It took lots of relays being changed out before we finally were able to pinpoint the problem. Being that I've already encountered it I would definitely look at swapping that relay with the fuel pump relay with the right next to each other and see what it does at that time good luck

1989 f150 cranks but wont start

Can you hear the fuel pump engage when you first turn the key forward? Do not attempt to turn on the truck but just place it in the on position you should be able to hear and feel the fuel pump for approximately 3 seconds. If not you have a fuel pump relay problem if not the pump itself.

I have a 1989 Ford F150 5 speed manual- Just had new engine mounts fitted as the old ones had split but now can not engage overdrive gear. It will go into gear but feels like it is meeting with a lot

CHECK YOUR CLUTCH LINKAGE AND ADJUSTMENT. REPLACING MOTOR MOUNTS RESTORES ENGINE TO PROPER POSITION AND MAY CHANGE YOUR ADJUSTMENT. SOUNDS LIKE CLUTCH IS NOT RELEASING ALL THE WAY

1989 Ford F 150 lariat 4x4 pick up pops out of

You must have a manual transmission. Rebuild it. synchronizers are bad. The reason for grinding. Then you have worn shift forks. Reason for popping out of gear. Also replace any worn bearings or just get the bearing kit and replace them all, with the races.

My 1989 f150 acts like it gets no gas. which fuel pump is bad?

you have to run on the front pump for a while to see if it acts up then and if not do the same with the rear . if it does the same on both then replace your fuel filter and if still no change , change the pump or pumps. These pumps are well known for going out at the same time

Fuel tank gague not working

sending unit could have died, bad wiring is most likely the cause. Check to see if the ground needs to be cleaned, and check the power wire for power.
