"Key not detected message" and key is in my hand in the driver's seat; twice now car has locked itself with the key inside the car and I had to have someone break into the car to get the key.

My only thought. I have had a couple problems with the magnetic keys in my cars. My wife key has gone bad twice but my key would work. It was the car she drives with her key. My key worked which I rarely used so we just replaced her key with a factory original from the dealership our problem was solved. I would suggest you swap the key you use and see if it makes a difference. If it does you will have some new info to give to the dealership.

I have a 2017 VW Beetle ( Turbo ) I recently replaced its battery and this is what happened next...

Apparently there is a relearn period after installing a new battery, but there is nothing mentioned about a battery sensor. Number 1 tip when installing a new battery, is keep 12 volts power to the vehicle using wires to the old battery, jump leads or a battery charger. All the electonic modules have no idea you are getting a new battery. :>) https://www.google.com/search?q=2017+vw+beetle+battery+sensor+ ..

My interior light does not work when I open the door on y 2013 VW UP the fuse is okay and also the light bulb is fine. So where is the door switch as there is none on the piller.

This might seem a silly suggestion but have you checked the actual switch on the light? It can be set to always on, Always off or door triggered. The rocker switch is usually set to the middle position for the door setting. Most modern cars now fit the switch into the actual door latch built into the door panel. You would possibly need to strip the door card off to remove the whole unit just to get access to the switch.

Hi need the torque settings for a vw velocity 1.4i please head big ends and mains

This can depend on the year of the vehicle, which engine is fitted and the fuel type. The Velociti is also know as the Mk1 Golf, (the later facelift version), and the Rabbit. A workshop manual for any of these will have that information. It is worth getting a manual if you are doing these types of bigger repairs.

My 2010 volkswagen cc battery is draining down to a point were it will not crank over

Two choices: take it to an automotive electrician. tell him you have parasitic draw. Or you get an ammeter and put it on the battery. Then you pull one fuse at a time until the draw stops. That purely tells you the circuit is in on. Then you have to find the item.

I went out to my 2000 Volkswagen Beetle 1.8 liter turbo this morning and it would not start. I didn't hear my fuel pump so I checked the fuses and number 28 fuse is fine and number to fusible link under the hood is fine. Any ideas on why I don't have any power two number 28 fuse or the fuel pump?

Did you actually check the power supply to the pump or just assume there is no power because the fuse was ok? If there really is no power in the fuel pump circuit it might be a function of the immobiliser to cut the power until it is disarmed but if there is power, proved by the use of a test lamp, the pump is probably defective. In depth troubleshooting isn't practical without reference to a wiring diagram.
