Any check engine light? Does it run ok off idle/driving? Check for vacuum leaks like bad cracked loose hoses first.

2009 Volkswagen Jetta

Removed homophobic word and reworded question On the low right-hand side -- passenger side -- of the transmission you'll see the drain plug. On the front, upper left-hand corner you'll see the fill-check plug. Remove the fill-check plug first with a wrench; if the transmission fluid is up to level, a small amount will trickle out.Jun 12, 2017

Does it run OK?

Are you sure it wasn't sparking prior to jumping?

I went out to my 2000 Volkswagen Beetle 1.8 liter turbo this morning and it would not start. I didn't hear my fuel pump so I checked the fuses and number 28 fuse is fine and number to fusible link under the hood is fine. Any ideas on why I don't have any power two number 28 fuse or the fuel pump?

Did you actually check the power supply to the pump or just assume there is no power because the fuse was ok? If there really is no power in the fuel pump circuit it might be a function of the immobiliser to cut the power until it is disarmed but if there is power, proved by the use of a test lamp, the pump is probably defective. In depth troubleshooting isn't practical without reference to a wiring diagram.

Own a manual 1987 Volkswagen Cabriolet.Replaced the battery and everything turns on electrically except when starting the engine will not even crank over at all. What are my options to fix problem?

First go back to the battery and check the cables, make sure they're all there and that they're clean and tight. If you changed the battery because it didn't start you probably have a bad starter. If you can get to the starter make sure to stay clear in case the car moves then tap the starter with a hammer while someone turns the switch to start if it goes the starter need to be replaced if it doesn't start use a test light to check for voltage at the starter battery stud then move the light to the smaller wire marked "S" and have someone turn the switch to start if the light lights The starter is bad if no light. The problem will be the ignition switch or the neutral safety switch or transmission range switch. I hope this helps. Take care.

Where can I get a fuse box diagram for a 2013 Volkswagen Beetle convertible?

Handbook supplied with the vehicle is the most reliable source of fusebox specs. Repair manuals and other sources tend to provide aggregate information barely allowing for changes made due to territory and trim level.

Looking at a 97 Volkswagen cabrio that's been overheating. Start it and within minutes it's overheating with a flashing coolant light. Under the hood the top radiator hose runs to the thermostat housing with a T in the middle and a hose that runs down somewhere. That hose is cold to the T, but very hot between the T and the thermostat housing. The two hoses that run to the heater core are also hot. The bottom radiator hose is cold as well. Any thoughts?

It would have been useful to know where the hose from the tee goes and what diameter as that is new to me. 50 years as a repairer and I have never seen a top radiator hose with a tee branch. Usually the engine heats and the thermostat opens and starts coolant circulating through the radiator, up the bottom hose into the water pump to be pushed round again. The volume of coolant moved by the water pump, even at idle should be far in excess of that circulating through the heater matrix ensuring adequate circulation through the radiator as soon as the thermostat opens. The top hose must be hot because the thermostat is open so why doesn't the coolant go further and heat either the branch or the rest of the hose and radiator... Sometimes a pump with a plastic impeller will lose a vane and overheating due to insufficient circulation is likely. Other things are more common - semi-blocked radiator tubes restricting coolant flow. Silt build up in the cylinder block causing hot spots in the cylinder walls. Restricted air flow through the radiator. Electric coolant fan not working. Excess combustion gas in the cooling system interfering with thermostat operation. Degassing system blocked with the same result.

I have a 2011 Volkswagen Jetta TDI . My back doors will not lock as well as my horn does not work. Neither does my rear windshield wiper.what could possibly be going on with my car and can I have a fuse box diagram for both the fuse box interior and close fuse box?

Three different faults. Get a competent person to carry out a diagnostic test to verify the faults. Probably a faulty door lock unit, faulty horn and rear wiper motor fail due to water ingress.

Turning signal is blinking only blinking a few times and stop ? 2000 Volkswagen Beetle

This could be a faulty flasher relay. On the 2000 Beetle the relay is part of the Hazard signal switch. It will need replacing so you will need to remove the four star headed screws holding the panel the hazard switch is in. (2 underneath and 2 on the front). Two of the screws are hidden under little plastic covers. You then can remove the panel and replace the whole hazard switch unit.
