Car blows engine fuse when put in reverse
It would seem there is a fault on the reverse light circuit causing the fuse to blow, though I am surprised it is blowing the engine fuse, perhaps it is an auto transmission with electronic management?
Manual or auto? Given the fault it is probably auto so I expect the reverse light is unaffected and so too the gear selector inhibitor switch operation? If this is so it would suggest a fault with the transmission, the electrical connections, wiring or electronics.
Sorry I can suggest no more given your rather sparse description.
Is there a starter fuse or relay for the 2003 ford escort zx2?
Fords typically have a starting relay and quite often its on the firewall on the side where the starter is.... Follow the battery cables the black lead should go to the body for the grounding lead.... There should be a red lead going to the alternator and another red lead heading to the relay then to the starter.... Ie the relay interrupts the battery voltage which is told to activate by the smaller ignition wires... Best of luck. Maybe go to your local auto parts store with the car's particular stats and ask them what the part looks like and they can pull the part off the shelf and give you a clue what you're looking for. Best of luck...
Where is the fan sensor located
THE FAN SENSOR SHOULD BE LOCATED IN THE RADIATOR OR NEXT TO THE THERMOSTAT ON THE ENGINE IS USUALLY WHERE THEY ARE LOCATED. HOPE THIS HELPS
How difficult is it to replace a camshaft
Pretty simple, disconnect the battery, disconnect the wiring at the sensor itself. there is one mounting bolt for the sensor. remove the bolt and then you can remove the sensor. lubricate the oring on the senor before reinstalling
Cant find the heater fuse
Hi Jennifer, What do you want to acheive. I ask this because there will be a fuse for the fan blower and another for the AC There may be another for the climate control but non for the actual cabin heater as warm air is generated from the engine and flows through a small radiator inside the cabin. The flow is controlled by a mechanical valve which when opened or closed allows a greater or lesser volume of coolant to flow into it and thereby increases or decreases the heat in the cabin. The heated air is circulated by the fan. Hence my question of "what is wrong?" regards John
