Sticking in park
Some models (Not sure about your Suzuki.) have a solenoid that unlocks the shifter when the brake pedal is depressed. If you are able to eventually get it out of park, it may just need cleaning and lubrication. I had one in the shop that was really gummy and found out that soda pop had been spilled on the console. Remove the boot, and get the mechanism exposed, then clean all the "gunk" from around the mechanism and spray a lubricant on the placed where the lock slides in and out of the mechanism. Since I'm not sure how or what the Suzuki uses, you're sort of on your own, but I hope this is of some help. Best of luck.

Jerking in my f150 stx 2006
I'd suggest the cheapest fixes first. I had the same issue and it turned out to be the coil pack. Cost-$20 Time- 10 minutes.
Did this after changing the fuel filter and plugs and wires three times. Its definitely worth your time to try the coil pack first. Oh, also make sure none of your spark plug boots or wires are grounding on the egine. That will give you the exact same symptoms. Hope this helps!
