Your talking spring mounts and or stabilizer mounts on the body. Or maybe stabilizers themselves. No this is not safe, especially with stop and go driving. If it is the tubing on the body, it need s fixed ASAP. you can use sheet metal and bend it to form the body. Drill it and the body and use 1/4 inch rivets to hold it together. Go at least six inches beyond the rust on each side. Use 4 to 6 rivets per side.

Could be the pump or rack and pinion. Pumps usually whine real bad before dieing(especially when turning). The rack can blow a seal and die all of the sudden.

When mine went out, I had a mechanic source a replacement at a junkyard and put it in for me... Those Contour doors are a pain. Wasn't the motor, was the winding mechanism.

I missed that during our chat...P1237 is for the Fuel Pump Driver Module (FPDM) NOT the fuel pump itself. We need to talk some more.

jack up the vehicle and place it safely on jack stands go to the back of the motor where the transmission mates to it and you will see it there fitted into a recess in the transmission bell housing there's a whole bunch of views for you to see it make sure you put the cables on the same way you took them off

You can try remove positive battery cable overnight. It may reset the "brain".

try unplugging mass air sensor on the air filter duct see if it starts if so replace maf sensor

Did you check in the glove box or under the drivers seat or in the arm rest thing between driver and passenger, or on the dashboard near the drivers knee?

some cars makers designed cooling fans to run after vehicle is turned off. design to cool the water down in radiator and turn off in a about 5 minutes

possible bad transmission ???

Probably a coolant leak. Have you checked the level? Most times, very low coolant results in no heat to heater.

Check tire balance, outer tie rod ends, inner tie rod ends, ball joints, CV joint bolt torque at hub, and control arm bushings. You will find your problem some where in this line up. GOOD LUCK FRIEND.

Have the engine hooked up to a diagnostic meter to see exactly where the problem is. No sense in replacing a lot of parts when only one or two may be necessary.

There is a possibility that you are looking at the layout for another fuse panel... check under the hood and under the dash on the driver side.

On a 1995 it is back by the transmission. Its NOt on the head its low below the head rear of the engine I included a picture from Google
