first try disconnecting battery and leave the postive terminal of for about two mins. then put back on the battery. If that does not work well you can go to auto zone or neariest auto parts strore buy a obd11 scanner and clear it by using the scanner but make sure the scanner you purchase is compatabile with the year and make of your vehicle

My engine light is on all the time. Not the check

One of two problems. Bad oil sensor on the block or oil pickup tube in engine is plugging up. The sensor is not expensive, the oil pickup screen (and pump if you do it) install is not cheap.

Vacuum leak at base of steering column the part is half moon shaped and white what is it called

Run the vehicle at idle and turn off engine. Step on the brakes with the engine off and listen for vacuum leak. If you hear hissing with the brake pedal depressed it's the Brake vacuum booster......In the same area there is a parking brake vacuum release switch which leaks only with the car is in idle. If this is leaking your automatic parking brake will not release your parking brake automatically in drive.

2003 Crown Victoria-Position of seatbelt female buckle hurts me.

Can they be poked down and then brought up where you say? I had this on a lincoln town car and they were long enough without an extension. The mounting bolts are really made in only one spot usually and are very importantly secured. You could always just buy a female strap without any plastic on it and run it whever you want. A lot of RV places carry them :>) Hope this helps.

My '89 Crown Vic keeps blowing brake light fuses.

check under the dash st the brake pedal, there is a brake light switch which is tied into the cruise control, you could try unplugging that and see if it fixes the problem(remember you will have no brake lights while it's unhooked) if the problem is gone replace the switch.

O2 censor

You would use an oxygen censor socket to repair that. You can buy one for pretty cheap or you can rent one from the parts house. You'll want to disconnect the electrical connection to the O2 censor, slip the socket over it (using the appropriate ratchet) and take it off. You can also use a 7/8 inch wrench on most cars if you can get it in there.

Brake lights not working

Check the fuses, and check the brake light switch, which is usually found up under the dashboard attached to the pedal arm. Make sure the connector in OK, the switch activates with the movement of the pedal. failing that replace the switch.

Hope this is of some assistance.

1989 Crown Victoria Starter Solenoid Jams On

Inside the starter is a bendix drive. This is what engages the flywheel. There is a return spring that disengages the bendix when the soleniod power is cut. I know you said you had new starters put in , but there still remains a problem with the starter. You can replace just the bendix drive. If you are going to take it to a shop the labor to just remove the starter and replace the bendix will probably cost you as much as a starter. If you replace the starter make sure you use a reputable company that remanfactures the part. There are good one and bad ones out there. You get what you pay for.
