Sounds like the heater control valve/ blend door. The actuator may be stuck or broken. The actuator opens and closes to adjust for the heat setting in the car. You might be able to take a coathanger and manually open the door if you can get to the control arm. They are usually hard to get to and pretty expensive. It is located under the dash at the heater core box. Good luck.

Depending on which side, removal of battery is needed (if so, radio pin code would need be re-entered) Once access is clear, remove electric plug from back of light, remove rubber dust cover and then depress wire globe retainer clip (and flip it on it's hinge)to enable globe be removed.

If you have a scanner plug it in and read the codes . Then repair the items the codes tell you to. if you don't have a scanner go to Auto zone and have them read the codes for you for free. Then do the appropriate repairs.

The push rod from the outer handle to the lock/latch came off the door handle. You need to pop off the door panel (get a panel tool set at the auto parts store) and you'll be able to see into lock area and you'll see a rod with a "L" doing nothing. Put it back in the hole on the lock/latch and snap the keeper back on(it's probably in the bottom of the door)if no keeper, you can get one at a good auto parts store.
