Air in brake lines
If it's really air in the lines it will take two people to bleed it out, and if you're not careful you can make the problem even worse. You will need a bucket, a rag, and a small wrench (usually 3/8 or 7/16, and a box wrench works best). The lucky person needs to pump the brake pedal several times until the brakes are rock hard. Then the unlucky person needs to open the small bleeder valve of the back of a wheel (near where the brake line enters the wheel) and let the combination of air and brake fluid spray out - hopefully into the bucket. Once the pedal hits the floor, tighten the valve. Repeat this process two or three times on each wheel, or until the flow is all fluid - no air, making sure that the bleeder valve is retightened each time before the brake pedal is released. If the pedal is released with the valve open, air will be sucked into brake system, making the problem even worse. Oh yeah, the rag is for the brake fluid that misses the bucket and ends up all over the pavement and the guy working the bleeder valves.
I have a 1997 f150 that won't start, just clicks.
Check cable for corrosion or signs of heat.Check voltage to starter. Most likley a starter but don't overlook the basics like is the engine seized or is there a loose/bad connector to engine ground.
Ford f150-2001 not charging
your have a wire shorting out, check the hot wire to the starter you replaced, chances are there is a bare spot on the wire and is grounding against the motor block
Ford f150 pickup not charging
the gauge is going bad or a bad connection to the gauge! a sure way to find out is put a meter on the alt. and the battery when the gauge reads low and see what the actual volts are and if there high 13's and low 14vdc then you know the alt. is doing it's job and the gauge is bad! good luck
1982 f-100 with a 1978 302 cid--won't
it sounds as if you have blocked jets cause what you have said it seam that when you had the tank repired you had some dirt get into the fuel system whick blocked the jets you have to get the carb cleaned and replace the jets and then have the carb set so the emitions will be to law specks
How do i adjust the idle?
There should be a screw which hits a stopper, where the throttle cable joins to the carby. Turn that in for more, out for less revs.
