Rear axel bearings, how to replace
If you haven't done it before I would let a professional do it, but if it's the bearings on the carrier you will need a press to remove and add new bearings, if it's outer there is a tool for that as well to pull old bearings out. You will open up diff cover and unbolt center pin from gears, then you should be able to slide axle shafts in to remove c clips making you able to remove shafts, then it's just removing and installing new bearings.

Ingnition problem
Sounds like it could be the switch, you can bypass the ignition switch and touch the two positive wires together from the solenoid to see if it cranks over. Be very careful make sure it is in not in gear.
