My radio in a 2000 Pontiac Montana kept drainin my

The radio is probably faulty if it is draining the battery all the time, however you can get around this if you are ok with electrics. The most simple solution would be to wire the radio to a circuit that only becomes live when the ignition (therefore the engine) is on. The downside of this solution is that you will lose any stored information in the radio, such at the time and any pre set stations.
