Hi, welcome to FixYa! My name is Shaun. To answer your question, a thermostat is a very easy change. Follow your upper radiator hose into your motor. Where the hose joins the top of the block, you will see an elbow of sorts, held in place by a couple of bolts. This is your thermostat housing. Remove the thermostat housing and the old thermostat, and replace with the new thermostat, paying close attention to the orientation of the thermostat you removed. If installed backwards, the thermostat will not operate. With the new thermostat installed, apply a thin coat of blue RTV silicone sealant to each side of the new gasket, seat the gasket over the thermostat, and reinstall the thermostat housing. Replace ant lost coolant, and if nesessary, burp the system to release any trapped air to prevent overheating. That's it, you're done! The whole process should take less than 30 minutes. When you open the door down towards the bottom is a black push button when the door is open the chime sounds you can push it in and tape it

Unplug chime module under dash.

You must do a fault code test to see what codes are in memory that might help diagnose this.

COULD BE YOUR RELAY BOX IN THE TRANS, HAVE IT CHECK OUT AT A SHOP OF YOUR CHOICE.

You don't reset anti-theft systems ! Your ford has the PATS - passive anti-theft system ! Is the red light on top of the instrument panel flashing when trying to start the vehicle ? Need to see what DTC'S - diagnostic trouble codes are stored , fix the problem !

Need new battery or have it recharged to start if possible.

A junkyard can xplain

Not the lock cylinder but the part it goes I to. Remove the plastic cover from around the steering column. There should be a single wire usually pink with a stripe ( want to say it's brown but might be wrong) . Often the plastic part of the plug breaks and basically it shorts to the surrounding metal. Your options are 1) replace the plug; 2) wrap with tape to prevent shorting out and 3) unplug and wrap up so it no longer functions and cannot short out.

Could be fuel pump, fuel pump regulator, starter, battery, crank position sensor, camshaft position sensor, out of gas, bad plugs, timing belt broken....the list goes on. If you could post more information about what the vehicle is doing when you try to start it, that would help us to help you diagnose it.
