There is a cheap kit which is available (and often used on everything from motorcycles to lawnmowers) which will let you shorten the shift linkage cable. Basically the cable is cut to the appropriate length and then a new tip is added to the now bare end to allow it to interface it's bracket.

Many possible reasons for this, if it only happens when you brake it limits the problem a little. If this is the case your front brake discs are probably warped, either replace them or have the ones fitted skimmed. I understand that the cost is similar so better to replace with new discs

Cylinder Head Temperature (CHT) Sensor -4.6L and 5.4L Removal

Even though my truck is not overheating, the temperature gauge will shoot up to hot and the oil light will come on. After a few minutes, the truck will not let me accelerate anymore. If I shut the truck off, it will reset the oil light and the temp gauge and run fine for a while. But eventually, it will do the same thing again. Is it a sensor or computer problem

The firing order is usually stamped on the intake manifold area. However, the 4.6 and 5.4 are the same.13726548

The switch on the steering column, clean very carefully or replace. Is there a chance both headlights are bad?

Most likely a bad ignition module in that era, need a 5.5mm thin wall socket to replace it. Can also be Pick-up in Distributor going bad.

Chek the wiper motor..
To remove the wiper motor, first take off both wiper arms at the bottom where they attach to the truck. The attachment is a spline with a spring clip holding it on. You may need to go to an auto parts store, and buy the simple tool made for this purpose, they are not difficult to remove once the spring clip is released. At this point I use a small pry bar to "coax" the wiper arm off you should use a rag to protect your paint. Once you have the wiper arms off open the hood. at this point you will need a small socket & ratchet, the entire sheet metal plate that is between the hood & windshield will need to come off (right under where you took the wiper arms off). When you have this removed & out of the way you will be able to access the wiper transmission where it attaches to the motor, it's just one nut! When you have the transmission unhooked. Disc. the wiring plug from the motor along with the hoses for your washer. Unbolt it and your done! It may be a little stubborn separating it from the body there is some putty in there to seal out water.To install reverse procedure.

Did you first check the fuses for both of these items?Remove the headlight bulb and inspect it or test the lead for power. Test the power to the wiper motor or have a reputable shop do this..

have you checked the rear brake rotors/drums for being warped ??
normally vibrations while braking are.. through the steering wh = front
thruogh brake pedal/seat = rear

I'm confused ,but if you mean you want to do this so you can do repairs on the system then go to the fuel rails where the injectors are you will see a valve that looks like a tire valve it may or may not have a cap on it this is the Schrader valve you can release system pressure here by pressing in the valve pin just like your tire valve (BUT DO NOT PRESS IT IN REAL HARD AND USE A SMALL SCREW DRIVER OR A TIRE GUAGE PIN ON THE END OF THE GUAGE IF YOU PRESS THIS IN TO HARD IT WILL LEAK PRESSURE OUT BECAUSE YOU HAVE BROKEN THE SEAL ON THE INSIDE OF THE VALVE SO VERY EASY ON THE PIN TO RELEASE PRESSURE) AND DO NOT CHANGE THE FUEL FILTER WHILE IT'S UNDER PRESSURE GAS WILL FLY OUT AND YOU WILL BE USING 87 OCTANE AS COLOGNE IF IT GETS IN YOUR EYE'S FLUSH THEM WITH A LOT OF COLD WATER = IF YOU CAN NOT FIND THE VALVE JUST LET THE VEHICLE SIT FOR 1 HOUR THE PRESSURE WILL GO DOWN IF I AM NOT ANSWERING YOUR QUESTION CORRECTLY POST BACK AND BE MORE SPECIFIC SO I CAN HELP YOU ===STEPHEN '

Most belt diagrams are on the crossbar where the hood latches.

Check the fluid level...the torque converter going in dry without fluid primed in it may be the issue.

Hi Larry I do not know the this model of vehicle. However from my experience the most common reason for the windows not going down is the override switch has been accidentally switched off (I assume there is an off switch adjacent to the controls on the drivers side). You would be amazed the number people requesting fixes of power windows with this condition, a very simple and cheap fix. Regards Jacko from down under
