the firing order of the ignition system for a 4.6 L V-8 is 1-3-7-2-6-5-4-8. the V6 ffiring order is 1-3-2-5-3-6

if you use the same key to open the boot I would be removing the boot lock as it is a lot easier than having to remove the door trim to get to the inside to remove the clip that holds the lock in place.

There is fuel in the tank? When you turn the key in the ON position, you hear the fuel pump running for some seconds and then stops or keep on? Maybe you have a clogged fuel filter, or a bad fuel pressure regulator... please post more details.

I think its part of the four relay box mounted near the radiator.

Try this... I dont know it it will work tho... Turn your key to the on position with the doors closed but do not start the car. Press the rear demist button 3 times with in 5 seconds of turing the key on. The door locks should cycle once they do press the lock button on the remote and the locks should cycle again.. Turn the car off and then this should store the code for the remote. Let me now how you go please

The remote batteries are dead and need replaced. Most remotes are held together with clips or screws and are easy to open if done carefully. Then replacing the batteries is easy and put remote back together.

Check for loose connections, if ok, replace and recheck.

Does it seem to start up and run fine when it's cold, then once the engine starts getting warm it dies? If so you might want to take your ignition control module off and have it tested. Most major auto parts stores will test the ignition control module for free. HOWEVER!!!!!!!!!! Make sure they test the module 3 times in a row. Sometimes the module will pass the first time or two, but it starts warming up from being tested (which is normal) and after the 3rd time it will fail. If it does fail then that would be your issue. Just replace the module. But definitely take the time to have it tested for free to verify that it is functioning properly.

The only fuse link I see for a 1996 ford thurderbird is for the defroster. But theirs a lot of fuse links on older thunderbirds 1986-1993

By removing the instrument cluster if you look to the right all the way to the back upper corner you can barely see it. looks like a little sliver ball with a black handle sticking out. pushing in the ball handle part will open the front A/C vents, you may even be able to find away to push stick or screwdriver in there to keep it open. Or if you find some specialty tool you might be able to replace it with removing the whole dash board.

Replacing only the motor does not metter.Replacing the coil also will show u the right position.Anyway,the distance does not metter as it stop from the overload curse end.

Tape the window up after unbolting it from the regulator. Blue painters tape is best.

1. check heater's fuse. locate the fusebox under dash on driver side. check the 30A fuse

You need a flat head screwdriver to remove the light cover and the door lock and window switch. and a phillips head screwdriver to remove the two screws, the one under the door/window switch could also be a small bolt. (When removing the door/window switch cover pull back on the door handle or you will scratch the cover when removing it). Then pull straight up on the hand bar and you can slip door/window switch cover through the hole.

Check starter relay. Could be putting power back into harness.
