My 1993 crown Victoria stalls at lights when it gets hot

I have owned a 1991 Grand Marquis. Very similar vehicle. Fuel filters, mass airflow sensor (cleaning constantly, finally replaced with OEM part...do not use cheap auto parts store junk on this part), and a tune up. These also have the two coil packs, which do have problems, and I replaced these after the problem resurfaced over time. There are l\also many sensors that affect the computer...camshaft, crankshaft, temperature, etc. The problem with a 1993 vehicle is the OBD I , not OBD II reader is needed. These never really show you what is wrong, only where to possible start checking

93 crown vic steering gear leaking

The bubbling is just the air being removed by fluid, no problem. the foaming is just the pump action, no problem. As for the leakage, remove the pitman arm and replace the seal on shaft the pitman arm is bolted to. If you still have leakage, replace the seal in the top of the box where the column bolts to the box for it's just running down the box and looking like the leak is from the bottom seal.

The crown victoria keeps running hot and need to

Before you get into this involved job I have a few suggestions. First is the pump leaking causing the system to lose coolant. Grab the fan and try to move it from side to side to see if there is play. Next when was the last time the thermostat was changed out. The thermostat can be stuck in a way as to restrict water flow. Another cause of over heating is a clogged radiator. Older cars can have a slug build up in the radiator core causing a significant cooling lose.
Water pumps on a Crown Vic is located on the front of the engine behind the fan. You should really get a service manual as there are a lot of steps in this job that must be done correctly to avoid future problems.
You start by draining the entire cooling system by opening up the drain plug on the bottom of the radiator. This antifreeze must be disposed of properly by taking it to a repair shop for pick up. Next remove the fan guard followed by disconnecting all the belts. Some people remove the radiator to gain working room. before removing the radiator disconnect the lower hose and the upper hose to the engine. The transmission oil cooling lines are next. Now remove all the bolts holding the radiator in place. As you can see this is not a job for a novas. If you are not mechanically inclined this could be a nightmare of a job.

My headlights go out & buzz could it be a dimmer switch

Generally head lights and dimmer switches are two different things. It seems like you have ashort in your circuit somewhere. I would remove the lens covering of your headlights and check to make sure you have strong connections. Make sure you do not touch any of the contacts because your battery is still connected. Also make sure your hands and body parts are clear from the fan. Even though your car is turned off, the fan can come on by it self. Best.

I was driving my 1993 crown vic when all of a sudden the power steering stopped working and the battery light came on the dash board lights, car starts fine but wont steer

The serpentine belt, located in the front of the engine compartment on the front of the engine, has either come off or broken. In that case, you may need another belt. Or the idler pulley has gone bad. Look, using the aid of a flashlight if necessary, for a pulley that is loose. Good Luck!

How do you flush a heater core on a 1993 crown

First find the 2 coolant hoses that lead to the firewall in the engine bay. Disconnect both hoses from the engine. You need to force fluid through the "inlet" hose which is usually on top of the engine(I think it leads to the water pump). Monitor the fluid that comes out... If you're having heater issues, you will probably see a bunch of gunk come out. Flush it out until it runs clear. You can also flush both ways if you're not sure which one is the inlet. You can also try just running regular coolant flush that you can find at most department stores and parts stores, through the motor, following the directions.
