Yes an electrical problem should set a trouble code in the engine or body computer.It could be a pressure problem inside the transmission.

You'll have to find out if you are dealing with a no spark or no fuel problem to proceed.

I would suspect either the vent is clogged or bent on the fuel tank or evap canister, or the tank has been crushed. Has the vehicle been in a rear end accident or bottomed out while off road or something similar?

Code 505 is for a problem with the idle air control valve.It could be the valve, or a dirty throttle body, or a problem in the harness.If you replaced the IAC and the throttle body is clean, and the code remains, you probably need to open the harness and check the wires.

I had the same problem. I replaced the govener sensor and the govener sensor solinoid and it sovled the problem. It cost me $228.00 for parts and it took me 45 minutes to do it myself.

You might need to look under the hood in the fusebox for the starter relay. if that relay is burned up you have no electricity going to the starter. if that isnt the problem it might be something really simple as the wires hooked to the starter aren't tight.(Only suggestion, from Chinasinoy---Professional car diagnostic)

If you have opened the the brake system to get the piston on the calipers back. You need to bleed the brakes. By opening. I mean turn the bleeder valve on the caliper. If you opened the system, you have air in your brake lines or the master cylinder is not fully serviced with fluid. A good bleeding will have you in good shape.

Change your brake switch. The brake switch is right there at your brake pedal. They get stuck sometimes. That is your problem. It is a switch with a wire and a plastic plunger in it. It moves back and forth when you press and release your brakes. It does not cost much. Maybe $10.00.

REMOVE THE PLASTIC COVER FROM AROUND THE " HIGH/LOW BEAM SWITCH " BETTER KNOWN AS A COMBINATION SWITCH. LOOK FOR A LOOSE OR DAMAGED WIRE, POSSIBLY RED WITH ORANGE. THE WIRE MAY BE LOOSE IN THE BEAM SELECT SWITCH. IF IT IS ONLY AFFECTED WHEN THE WHEEL IS TILTED IT COULD BE A BAD COMBINATION SWITCH.

On the top of the tank youll find a big white ring turning it counter clockwise will remove it then lift out pump moduel,you will need to replace the rubber ring that seals it for it will expand and not reseal

remove tank and conectors plus fuel lines and its in the tank good luck

You'll have to figureout if it is a fuel or ignition problem.Have you checked the computer for trouble codes ?

Sounds like a bad fuel pump or fuel relay
