96 Dodge Ram 1500, V8, 5.9L- Replaced alternator and battery, but battery drains within minutes of removing jumper cales
Disconnect the battery cables and inspect for contact corrosion, if present the alternator is not charging the car's battery because of a poor electrical cable connection. Next mix a solution of one part baking soda to three parts tap water and pour over both the cables and the battery contacts, allow the baking soda to dissolve the corrosion, once the fizzing has stopped, pour more tap water to clean remaining corrosion, dry with a paper towel and reconnect cables tightly to the battery.
96 dodge ram sputters and dies whem you give it gas
you need to check fuel pressure with a pressure gauge to see if its within specs.it should be around 35psi and no lower then about 32psi.your problem sounds like a fuel pressure problem and the pump should be changed as well as the filter, but check to make sure the fuel filter is not plugged as this can also cause a pressure problem.
1996 dodge ram 1500 keeps blowing 30 amp engine
Look for a part of that wire cable that is rubbing on metal somewhere or that some mechanic pinched under a bolt or drilled a screw through. It may take some time but the closer you look at that wire from end to end the faster you will find the problem. Blowing a 30 amp fuse means something is shorting out pretty good so go find the short. If you need further help, reach me via phone at

What wiring method are you using, did you buy the adapter harness, or cut all wires and joining one at a time, or other method? Do you have info regarding what each wire from car harness and stereo are for?
The temp gauge on my 2008 ram 1500 jumps from
It probably low on coolant. The heater will blow cold when there is not enough water (coolant) to keep the heater core full. Check the radiator (not the overflow reservoir) when it's cool.
When I accelerate the fan quits blowing on my 96 dodge truck.
Are you sure its not a vac leak ?The blower may be running, but if you loose vac when you open the throttle you may loose the ability to blow air out the vents. There should be a storage tank to keep vac in the heater control system when engine vac drops.

You have a STRONG Voltage Draw on the Electrical System and it is not being able to provide the entire car with Power. Test your Alternator, you may find out that the Voltage Regulator inside is starting to fail.....Does your Radio seem to not play as loud?Is the Power Needle going down when it happens?
