1999 Dodge Ram - Page 5 Questions & Answers
Rear taillights on 1999 dodge ram 1500 4 x4 won't come on. how to change switch and where it is located.
If you are referring to the taillights, they run through the headlight switch, and there is a fuse for them under the dashboard, most usually on the kick panel area to the left of the steering wheel.
If you refer to the brake lights, they run through a switch usually hung from the metal braces above the brake pedal, and actuated by the movement of the brake pedal.
There is also a fuse for them on the same fuse box under the dash.
God bless our efforts.
99 dodge ram interior lights wont come on
I had the same problem and could not understand why I THOUGHT I checked all the fuses, but there is a fuse on the drivers side which is covered by a black thing (no idea why). It is listed as IOD or something. If you lift the black thing up and remove the fuse you will notice it is blown. Replace this and all will be well again.
1999 Dodge Ram 1500 Pick
If it makes a single click every time you try to start it than the starter is probable bad. Sometimes if you keep trying to start the vehicle the clicking will be enough for the contacts in the solenoid to finally make good contact and allow the starter to finally start the vehicle. If this is the case than replace the starter ASAP. I’m happy to assist further over the phone at

Abs and brake light 99 dodge ram
My neighbor has a 99 Ram and his abs light wouldn't go off. As a brake mechanic myself. I replaced brakes all around , in which it needed, light still on so there is some kind of sensor on top of the rear end. Replaced that and still on. The only thing that is left is the block at the master cylinder, that runs about $300.00, so my neighbor don't want to spend that much. but that is about the only thing left.
Why will injectors on cylinders 1 and 3 want fire on my 5.2 1999 dodge ram
Sounds like you might have a sticky hydraulic valve?it happened to me what I did on my ford truck is I took off the plug and put a couple of squirts of oil from oil can in cylinder smokes like crazy but goes away after and seemed to loosen cylinder hoping that works for ya good luck or you may have clogged injectors or fowled
