1998 Dodge Ram Keeps dieing
I forget the name, but it sounds like you need some kind of ignition module replaced. I had the same problem with an older Dakota and it would die at a red light after a highway trip or under similar circumstances. There is some part in the ignition system that will fix that. I would get some FREE advice fom the Dodge service or parts department if you don't have a mechanic you are comfortable using. A good parts guy can give you the name and price over the phone. Another remote possibility would be an old timing chain getting loose but that would be an extreme case. I had that replaced as well and restored some of the "pep" in my engine. Less likely but overlooked items are all of the basics... Old spark plugs, full radiator, oil & filter, air filter, water in the gas (cold climate?), etc. It sounds like the ignition part to me though. Good luck!

I have a 2012 Dodge Ram.. I Keep trying and eventually it starts. I have replaced the fuel pump, spark plugs, and fuel relay. Once it gets started and warms up then I have no trouble starting it.
If you're experiencing difficulty starting your 2012 Dodge Ram, even after replacing the fuel pump, spark plugs, and fuel relay, there may be several other possible causes. Here are a few things you can check:
- Check the Battery: A weak battery can cause starting issues, especially in colder temperatures. Check the battery voltage and consider replacing the battery if it's not holding a charge or is more than a few years old.
- Inspect the Ignition System: The ignition system includes the spark plugs, ignition coils, and spark plug wires. If any of these components are worn, damaged, or corroded, it could cause starting problems. Check these components and replace them as necessary.
- Check the Fuel System: While you've already replaced the fuel pump and fuel relay, it's possible that there is still an issue with the fuel system. Check the fuel pressure to make sure it's within the manufacturer's specifications. If it's too low, there could be a problem with the fuel filter or fuel injectors.
- Check the Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor: The engine coolant temperature sensor can affect the fuel system and cause starting problems if it's faulty or not reading the engine temperature correctly. Check this sensor and replace it if necessary.
- Check the Starter Motor: The starter motor could be failing or not engaging properly, which could cause starting problems. Check the starter motor and have it tested if necessary.
If none of these suggestions resolves the issue, it's recommended to take your vehicle to a certified mechanic or dealership for further diagnosis and repair.

Red lightning bolt on 2008 Dodge Ram 5.7 hemi truck won't start, drove it to the vets came out and nothing...
The lightning bolt on the dash means that there is a problem with the electronic throttle control system in your vehicle. Get a code reader and scan the engine for any logged codes. The light may be on for a glitch and the electronic throttle control system needs to be reset.
To reset the Dodge Ram throttle position sensor(TPS), You need to turn on the ignition without Your foot on the brake, so the engine doesn't start. Then press the accelerator on the floor for 15 seconds. Release the accelerator. Then turn the car off and start the engine and drive.
What color is the fuel pump wires on 2010 ram
Hello. The positive polarity (+) color wire for the fuel pump on your Dodge truck can be any color except black. The negative polarity (-) color wire is, usually, black. Those 2 main fuel pump wires are a thicker gauge than the other wires. Good luck and keep me informed; if you want to.
