Unless you are a seasoned mechanic with a lot of tools and a lift, take it to the shop. This swap is like a caesarian section on your truck. All kinds of things have to come loose, like axle shafts and crossmembers and hubs and such. Not something to learn how to do.

When truckis not running, brake booster is not functioning and therefor the pedal goes down further and the brake switch functions. When running and booster is working pedal does not go down so far and light switch is not released enough to work. Adjust light switch at brake pedal.

have the alternator bench tested as there may be a fault in the rectifier diodes allowing battery drain back to earth

My work truck does this as well. Pulling out the nozzle doesnt work either. I know it sounds wierd, but try turning the nozzle sideways or upside down when filling the tank. Works well with my work truck.....

check starter check for low battrey volltage

Could be the security is set. Lock it up all doors. Use the key to open the drivers door. This should reset the security.

Newer cars do not have a cable connecting to the speedometer. It is a wiring circuit. Tracing where the break is located could be a tedious and time consuming process. If you can get a manual look to see the wiring diagram for the speedometer. Good luck

there may be a plastic panel under the hood where the wiper arms come out from. If they can be removed carefully expose the underside to see if both wiper arms are connected to wiper motor. Be careful since many panels are plastic and can be damaged easily.

It is either a bad sending unit in the gas tank or a bad fuel gauge. Both are pains to repair.

Flashing is usually a misfire. This could be a bad plug, plug wire, or injector. Maybe time for a tune up on that .

I had the same problem with my 2004 ram, passenger side low-beam wouldn't work after replacement. Online I saw many things from socket replacement to Fcm replacement. What worked was to remove fcm (front control module) and clean appropriate contacts with small nail file . Repair took less than 1 hour and cost 0$, wish I could give credit where I found info.

It depends on what work needs to be done. Could be anywhere from a few hours to a few days if parts need to be ordered.
