All this is related to on area a disconnected or open link, This is a common problem on Dodge, inspect the main harness upper right (or upper left) There you see a harness junction wiggle it and see if tach can be restored, also here is the goal use the TACH as your tool as you willgle the wire once the tach on the dash is restore the rest will follow Especially inspect the ECM area. Also transmission fluid, power steering fluid they like to rot the wires, look in harness that are oil soak, what i call wire wick, You only have a open link, In the power distribution box is the ASD relay use this as a start with the key on engine off remove ASD and put it on , does it click if it does then just look for a open/bad connection harness

If the belt release will not release the belt and you want to replace the belt itself there are some bolts that need to come out at all points of restraint and then replace. You can crack open the belt case (where it latches) and force a manual release on the belt. Then replace the case and the guts so it does not lock again. Good luck.

check behind the right side of the front axle and look for 2 vacuum lines to see if they are still connected. also check on driver side just infront of the transfer case and check the vacuum lines to see if they are still connected. usually the problem is the vacuum lines have become caught on something and disconnected themselves.
1998 dodge ram error code 1494 check engine light
Check all tubing and junctions for leaks in the fuel evaporation control system. The ECU has detected an issue with intake manifold pressure and is indicating that fuel vapour recovery system is perhaps to blame. Sometimes this can be connected to a fault in the manifold differential pressure circuit which lies on the vacuum line leading to the EGR valve. Also quickly check that the EGR (exhaust gas recirculation) valve is OK by connecting and reconnecting its vacuum line and listening to engine note changes. No engine note change indicates the EGR is probably jammed shut with exhaust crud and needs a general clean up. Sometime these codes detect the symptom and not the cause so you just have to work your way back and eliminate what it might be.
The top hose is hot but the bottom hose isn't what
Provided you have sufficient coolant aboard, it sounds as though you have a restricted radiator. If it's that bad, don't even bother flushing . Buy a new one. They are not that expensive, and much cheaper than a new engine!

this is easy to do if you cannot get the right wiring diagram ,now when they dim its because the power is reduced to the bulbs ,now how this is done is by the earth its wired to the lights ,so when the lights are turned on their is no or limited earth ,Like a back light with a dodgy earth ,put the stop lights on and the side lights go out or they all light up ,i think that if you run a seperate earth to each of the units they will be bright all of the time
When turning feels like a
it very well could be an issue with the differential or you may have a bad bearing. easiest well to tell is to lift the rear of the truck and spin the wheel(s) by hand. a growling noise will indicate to you where the issue is. while you are working on it (level ground) check the level of the oil in the differential case.
I need a schematic for my 1998 Dodge pickup diesel
