I have a 1998 dodge ram 5.9 liter truck cranks

Did you get the oem parts from the dealership? If you got cheap ones at the auto parts store that is the problem. Now you have to buy them again.

Blower goes from dash vent to defroster

I had a 1994 Dodge Ram. The Red Dodge Ram I had it malfunctioned and my brake became the throttle. I had to put the truck in reverse then park. to stop, after it was out of control at 80 mph a hill slowed us down. Are you sure its not electrical and the curse control is not giving you trouble? Mine had multifunction switch was not working and the headlight switch burned up. I also found out that Audi had problem with the brake becoming the throttle in the 1980s Daimler Chrysler and Audi were German made. I don't think there is an easy answer. I hope you stay safe. Another man is having strange trouble also. I'm sure there are many more people with trouble with the vehicles. I wish Dodge would step up to the truth. and recall their nightmares. I saw many of their 1996 Dodge trucks at their dealers shop with all the electrical pulled out.

98 dodge ram 1500 4x4 5.2L motor, seems to start

Could be a ground or connection/corossion issue causing false codes . Have alternator checked for diodes and proper charging as this can throw misleading codes .

I have a 1999 dodge ram was running but stalled and wont start back has started flooding the plugs with fuel and wont start unless i take the fuel relay out

What is liter size of engine? I don't know what relay you unplugged? Your fuel pressure sounds too high? If you have fuel return line, if it gets clogged, it could cause your fuel pressure to rise. It is your fuel injector pulse width that controls fuel, If pressure is too high, it could cause a problem. Usually voltage to fuel injector, goes hot with engine cranking. The computer controls fuel injector ground.

1992 Dodge Daytona cranks, but won't start

Yeah... Lynchp002, Sorry to hear this... (been there.. done that) Seriously think I can help. What I am going to suggest is based on my own travails... For experimental purposes only... you DO NOT want to run your engine this way... beyond seeing if it makes a HUGE difference: My guess: You still are STILL KNEE DEEP in DTCs (diagnostic trouble codes: I was... (& I fancy I'm smarter than the average bear)). My '75 Ranchero (muffler) had no diagnostic help... Pure luck finding that... but the '95 Jaguar V12 engine had TONS of DTCs to confuse me... I could NOT find my trouble... and PAID DEALER prices to have my garage queen XJS repaired Open the EXHAUST above the catalytic converter... and then try to start it... There are DIRECT fit exhaust units available from both ROCKAUTO & AMAZON... if you find either of these to be your issue... buy your parts locally or hire the job out to the PROFESSIONALS,,, but before you do... KNOW YOUR PRICES in advance.. Hope this helps! 1992 DODGE DAYTONA 3 0L V6 Catalytic Converter RockAuto

98 dodge ram 5.9 4x4

Surprising a 1998 model doesn't have an anti-theft system... The injector pulse(s) and the ignition pulses are sent from the management ECU in response to signals from the crank and cam sensors subject to the programming suitably modified by information from the various sensors. Assuming the supplies and grounds are constant and there is no anti-theft system, the output pulses should be constant as long as the signals from the cam and crank sensors are being received. Those are big assumptions and it would be wise to monitor the supplies to ensure they really are constant, but if they are the conclusion must be the signals from one or more of the sensors are ceasing or the ECU is faulty but as you say the ECU has been tested on another vehicle, it seems likely to be a sensor problem, the wiring or connections, any of which should leave a fault code in the memory. If there is no fault code a good scanner should be able to read live data and an oscilloscope would be invaluable for monitoring the signals from the sensors - best checked at the ECU. If there is no fault code present there is a strong likelihood the problem is outside the management system. Finally it would be wise to take a close look at all the multiplug connections. Some of these are prone to developing an oxide coating. It is difficult and tedious work but systematically checking/cleaning each pin and receptacle can produce good results. A slim diamond spatula is ideal for the task.

99 ram with 5.2 wont start, good fuel pressure on rail, good spark. no engine codes any ideas

You have fuel pressure but is the fuel being injected? Do this, get a can of spray starting fluid from the parts store or a hardware store, spray into the engine air intake, if the truck starts and then stalls out you have no fuel being injected. Also make sure when the engine is cranked that the engine computer (ECM) is getting power, you could have a problem with the starter motor switch, this is the electrical switch the ignition key actuates.

COOLANT CHARGING

things you need(to do it properly) vacuum pump,r134a gauges and leak detection of some sort first locate lowside port connect blue connector from gauge to it (lowside is the skinny hose)connect vacuum pump to yellow line open valve on blue guage manifold.
pull a vacuum to less than 30" hg for thirty minutes.close bluevalve on manifold watch needle make sure pressure doen't rise if no change in pressure after 15 minutes no leak.if pressure does rise then you have a leak and need to find it.(cheap/messy way use get a can of 134 with dye in it fill system and let it run look for dye on system usually on pump around back of clutch, unless you replaced a compnent recently then check all fittings and seals.)
you will add r134a through the yellow hose.

1998 dodge ram 1500 A/C only blows through defrost

The air flow controls are vacuum operated and if the vacuum is lost it shifts to the default or no-vacuum position which is to the defrost. You most likely have a broken plastic 1/8" line under the hood near the RH side of the engine that supplies the vacuum to the HVAC controls. If the controls work normally unless you are accelerating then switch by themselves to defrost you may only have a bad check valve. There may be a vacuum diagram posted on the underside of the hood that shows these lines otherwise you'll just have to examine each line until you find the bad spot. There may be a plastic vacuum reservoir that one of these lines goes to so check it for any cracks or damage also.
