Possible leaking injector, bad plug. vacuum leak, ck timing etc.

You need to get it to an electrical shop and have the wires traced to find it.

There could be all sorts of problems considering the age of the vehicle from electronic to engine valve seats and only a back to basics approach can fully evaluate the situation - lots of checking and lots of time... A rough idle could mean a misfire confined to just one or two cylinders or it could be a couple of cylinders that are working but inefficient or it could all be intermittent. If the car was mine I would begin by removing the injectors and having them checked and if any swarf is found inside it will place a question mark over the high pressure pump.

Do you have v-belts or serpentine belt? What is model year? I found some diagrams, but, I need more info to be sure?

Hi Craig, First thing to do is isolate which circuit has the short, this can be done by observing which fuse is burning. Secondly, trace the lines (cables) of each unit which operates in that circuit and eventually isolate the cable or unit. It may sometimes be advisable once the cable has been positively identified, to cut both ends and run an additional cable, replacing the original. Obviously if the problem is a particular unit, it will need rectification. Keep in mind that sometimes manufactures these days do not follow colour coding but instead use labelling at each end of a circuit. Toyota does just that on many circuits. Keep in mind that short circuits are extremely dangerous and can be life threatening. Regards John

got new wiring loom yesterday as I burnt the last one changed engine bay loom but still burning the loom right up to the ignition dont no what the hell is going on can anybody shed some light on this

have you checked wire harness @ rear of truck ? and along frame rail, ? and condition of the rear taillight assymblies, ? corrosion could be in these areas. check all ground wires also, not sure about relay ! don' t think so ! why would brakes need one ?
