PO420 code has to do with the oxagen sensors, But allso can be triggered if there is a leak in the (Exuast) System some where, If the (Exuast) System is good ,Problem is with a oxagen sensor, If not replaced it can do damage to the cat (Converter) That is verry costly to have replaced,

Thats code for a bad O-2 sensor. That can be caused by antifreeze getting into the exausht. Try clearing the code and putting in a can of Sea-Foam. I have had good success with that cleaning off the sensor.

For spark you need to look at your ignition and coil(s). Get a Haynes Manual for your car. It is around 20 bucks and will walk you step by step thru troubleshooting diagnostic and repair. The usual problem on these is the blower motor resistor.It is located by the blower motor on the passengers side under the dash.Just listen for the blower motor.You may have to remove a lower dash panel to see under the blower motor.Then just follow the 2 wire connector from the blower motor to the resistor.There are 2 screws that hold it in place.Just remove these and pull it down.You should see a burn mark on the resistor if it is bad.Also look the connector over real good.If the connector looks like it got hot and melted you will need to replace it also.You can get the connector with wires at the dealership.Hope this helps.Good luck.

Some motors are pop riveted to the door panel. With the window up remove the the arm rest screws then remove the screws hidden by the arm rest. Next use a special tool to pop off the upholstered door panel unplug the wire harness for the windows, door locks and seat controls pull off the plastic vapor barrier. Now locate the motor and look for the mount screws. If you can't see them then look for the pop rivets that hold the motor on. Before you drill out the rivets make sure you have the correct replacement rivets and the tool to install them. Once you have all that then drill out the rivets carefully. unplug the wires to the motor and pull it out of the door.

As far as not being able to shut it off...there is an ign 1 and ign 2 from your ign switch. If these are somehow connected together the alt will continue to run the motor despite the fact that the batt has been disconnected from the system. I would check for something that has been added (perhaps a relay for radio or towing) is not allowing the two different circuits to de-energize after turning off the key? The not starting thing...there was a time when the solonoid on the starter was made with alum wire. Perhaps you have one of these? Once it cooled down it would start just fine. Or you could install some kind of heat shield. It might work? Or just get one made with copper wire.

Sounds like it might be running to rich.I would replace the fuel pressure regulator because it cause a rich condition.When the engine came on what was the number of the trouble code?

bad front bearing/abs sensor The sensor is part of the bearing,or the wires are bad so that when you steer it open circuts and thinks the wheel is stopped. need to read codes or use a scan tool with live data to see which wheel the computer thinks is stopping. then look at that wheel for problems

The tension pulley is supposed to tighten up automatically by itself. Therefore it is defective and needs to be replaced with a new one.

Have the fuel pump pressure tested,also,check out the idle air control.
