I HAVE A SERVICE ENGINE LIGHT ON THE CODE 1361.....(IGNITION COIL LOW VOLTAGE) HOW DO YOU CHECK OR FIX THAT? THIS IS ON A 2002 GRANDPRIX GT

Other than the obvious (radios etc that have been added) I would check the diode in the alt. It is like a one way valve so it will charge but when shut off drain the batt. when bad.

Cutting off the catalytic converter and keeping it

by doing this you are breaking a federal law as no emission system can be removed or deactivated. you don`t say why your thinking about doing this. the converters do not cause any restriction in the exhaust to speak of.

What can cause my car not to go into gear after the car is warmed up?

Check The Transmission Fluid, Is It Low? Check At Operating Temperature, Is The Fluid In The Cross Hatched Area Of The Dip Stick? Is It Touching The Dip Stick? If It Is Not On The Dip Stick It May Just Be Low, Or, After You Add Fluid To Top It Off (Get It In The Cross Hatched Area Of The Dip Stick) And It Still Will Not Go Into Gear Or Move The Vehicle Normally, The Clutches May Be Smoked (Shot, Ruined) Have An Experienced Transmission Mechanic Look At It To Tell For Sure. If You Could Get It To A Trans. Shop By Trailer, They May Take A Quick Look & Tell You If There Is Any Hope. Hope This Helps.

2002 pontiac grand prix hesitation/ stumble on moderate acceleration and/or up hill . wide open throttle it goes just fine. no codes. idles just fine. no other symptoms. just bought car a couple weeks

Sounds like dirty, or partially clogged injectors. Have you run some fuel system cleaner through your gas tank? This is the least costly approach. Try 2 bottles in a full tank. Next could be dirty throttle body and or clogged air filter...no reference to mileage? Again these are small fixes you can attempt yourself. Read the instructions on a can of injector cleaner spray, and spray into your throttle body unit. You will need to completely remove the large inlet hose to gain access to spray...Hope this helps.

How to flush a heater core in a pontiac grand prix 2002

If you have warm air on one side and cool on the other, you've a situation with the vent flaps. But to backflush the core, take both hoses off the core and run a garden hose to the outlet side going towards the water pump. This will flush it.

What would cause my transmision to drop to a lower gear between 50 to 62 mph

your friends comments are good advice, but first did you check the trans fluid level when you checked the condition etc of the fluid ? as low fluid could cause these symtoms,if the level is ok i'd then get the OBD codes read as this will show what sensor/switch may be faulty ie the speed sensor mentioned by your friend but by doing the OBD you will have a diagnostic result, keep me posted

Good fuel pressure, but none to the cylinders? Check the injector circuit. All injectors will have battery voltage to them with the key on. A "noid light" can be used to check both power and ground. The light should be blinking when the engine is cranked. Noid lights are cheap, and just plug into an injector connector. If it blinks with the engine cranking over, the circuit is good-both power and ground.

Gas guage does not work problem in tank how do i fix it

There is a resistor on the side of the fuel capsule in the tank It can be purchased seperately, but I would suggest replacing the fuel cell as it isn't much more to replace the fuel pump cell and it has a new fuel guage built in.

Gas guage does not work problem in tank

One problem is the non-working fuel guage sender, the other is ...? Well, it doesn't really matter because the tank pump (even if working fine) and fuel level sender are an integrated unit and must be removed and replaced as a unit after the tank is unbolted/unstrapped and lowered down for acces to its top. It might seem bothersome to not be able to replace only pump or sender (which would be cheaper) but, in the long run, why not reinstall the tank with full life expectancy for both sender and pump before you have to face a difficult and unpleasant tank removal the next time...which could be years, weeks, days in the future. In most cases, the job is one they they have neither facilities, help, tools, patience or confidence to perform; so for them its bite-the-bullet time. Get several bids, for sure.
