Pull the air bag module , don't recommend you do that ! Is the air bag light lit on the instrument cluster ? Horn not working an air bag light lit would indicate clock spring problem . There is an OBDii code reader available on ebay for $10. Get the one with the lights and there is blutooth model that can download app for your phone. Other than that you be guessing and changing parts.Try running a new ground wire from the neg side of battery to the body and to the engine and check wiring, sounds electrical. I beleive the ECM is located inside the front part of the fender on passenger side and it's exposed to the elements, be good to check this for corroded wires and connector as well it the harness may be rubbing up against the body in that location and shorting out. Look for lumps in the harness at the point it connects to the ECM again should be located in the front innner wheel well behind the headlights but you will need to get to it from underneath or remove the inner plastic fender. Some newer models the ecm is on top of the engine and check the harness where it runs along the body as it may be moving and baring wires at that location or some wires may have corrosion and bad connection.

Check the wiring harness near the ECM for corroded wires and or lumps in the wires. I believe the ECM is located under the front passenger fender on this model and is exposed to the elements so will cause problems. You may have to remove the front part of the inner plastic fender to access it or go from underneath. Some newer models the ECM is attached to the top of the engine.

Your firewall is part of the body and is welded in place. Removal is impossible. It sounds like your multi-switch is faulty. That switch is your turn signal lever. You have to remove the steering wheel to replace it. If you don't know how to disable the airbag, don't try to fix it yourself. Let a mechanic or the dealer do it.

Try checking the oil, the low oil sensor will disable the ignition

The Pontiac Sunfire automatic transmissions are "sealed" and have no fluid dipstick. All they have is a plug in the transmission, and the fluid should be filled to the level of that plug. I've never liked that setup, but it is what it is. A mechanic can easily check the fluid level with the car on a lift.

Check engine light on , have the vehicle check for DTC's - diagnostic trouble code's . Probably point to a fix .
